Never tried their fixed-blade knives, but I've owned a Flash (gave it to my son) and two plain-edge, drop-point Flash II's. Gave the first one to my sister, who is disabled but hates (fears) guns and won't carry pepper spray. Had to get myself a new one. I like them except for the fact that when my loony little dog is running circles around me his lead can get caught under the pocket clip and lift it from my pocket.

I've been carrying a Spyderco Endura lately, but the Flash II is at hand as I write this and I'll probably carry it more now that cold weather has set in--easier to open when wearing gloves or with cold hands.

Maybe not quite love for the knife, but certainly a lot of appreciation. Well-made, quite decent steel, and good ergonomics for my taste.

Never owned a SOG knife, but I carry one of their tactical tomahawks in my trucks tool box. Well made, and has proven useful on a couple of occasions while camping / off roading.

I like the few that I have, I have a flash ii also (with yellow zytel) and it makes it into my EDC sometimes. The other one I have is the mini-fielder which I carry on formal occasions, it looks great and isn't that intimidating when I pull it out around classier non-knife folk.

i have seal pup. i don't remember the version. i consider it a fine knife. it takes and holds a good edge, does not rust and has a good sheath. i am a big spyderco fan but really like the seal pup and will never get rid of it.

I have a seal pup and topo meridian. I've been carrying the meridian almost daily for 9-10 years. A few years ago i stopped by their office because the safety was sticking. They sharpened it and replaced the handle while i was waiting, Free of charge.

I have just the one, a Flash II Tanto. I have not really bonded with it, but to be fair, I bought it because the price was good, not because I really liked the knife to begin with. I would probably like it much better with a drop point instead of the tanto blade.

I have a SOG multi-tool that has given me great service forany years. Beats every Leatherman I've touched in my 42 years, hands down.

^+1 for me as well. Not to mention the free entertainment that I have got watching my son throwing it. :D Yeah, he usually misses and then has to walk another 10 feet to go get it. He is usually muttering " I hate this thing" while he is walking over to get it. :D Me, I am smiling and not saying anything. Yeah it is good for about a half hour of free entertainment before he hangs it up.

Was in wally world the other day and they had SOG tommyhawks made of stainless steel for $20 bucks. Don't know what exact model it was but did say SOG on the package. As far as knives have two benchmade ones and two spyderco mariners. Plus one old buck 110 and a large case folder.

I think you would. The American tanto, which bears little if any relation to the Japanese tanto, has always struck me as being very limited as to usefulness. Except for stabbing stuff, which I don't do.

The drop point Flash II is a versatile cutter.

Have a Seal Pup, Tomcat folder in the safe and a Flash II in my pocket as I type. Glad I got the Tomcat when I did, seeing what they cost these days.

I love my SOG desert dagger, its a big bad knife, I have a first production model , though so i go easy on it as it is considered a collector piece, but great knife
