Any model 25-7 model of 89 45 colt owners?

S&W 25-5

Just bought a 25-5 in 45 colt , off this site 2 weeks ago and payed $ 550.00 shipped......... picking it up tomorrow will post pics. then.

I picked mine up in a trade for a Marlin 38-55. I love it so much that it became my nightstand gun, replacing a 6" Model 28. It's the ONLY revolver I have with Goodyear's.

I like it so much, I'm looking at a trade for a 25-2 to go with my 1917 and New Service.

love my 625-5..extremly accurate piece..I always shoot 5 round strings and this one will make one hole groupings at 50'...I cant see beyond that...

A 25-7, 1989 has been for sale locally for the past few months. Seller was originally asking $999, then $949. Maybe a month ago, the price was reduced yet again to $899. The gun is supposed to be in like-new condition and the pictures seem to corroborate that claim. I'm trying to set up some time to see this gun either tomorrow or Monday.

Have asking prices for this gun continued to escalate? Some in this thread feel that $750 was a reasonable ceiling a year or two ago. I don't see enough of these on the market to decide, although I know that I will offer less than the current asking price.

Any nuggets of wisdom or other advice before I see this gun and, hopefully, enter into negotiations?

I have one and I think it is one of the best looking Smiths, and the .45colt round is extremely accurate(my opinion). I also have a mod 25-2 in very good condition. I was trying to sell them, but it seems that Smiths aren't selling too good here in SC. And I wasnt trying to charge an arm and a leg. I think I will get them back and hold on to them for a while.

These are not available every day. I was lucky a forum member helped me find mine. Mines a little different, it's a 25-9. Probably even a little more hard to find. I'm more than a little pleased with how it shoots. Price seems to be around 1000.00 now.

Mine got new shoes.
