any problems with m&p15 sport

I also have a pair of ear plugs that are connected buy a plastic band that goes around your neck... But the problem with these, is the plastic band bumps around and amplifies the sound back to your ears and its very noisy.

I use over the ear style. And yes a few times I have hit the headset! But that is life not everything fits everyone :) My buddy uses the over the head ear plugs and loves them, guess I will look for a set to try :). As for bench shooting I have not tried that yet but will be to sight in my Vortex Red Dot. Will I get rid of my Sport II because of a few minor issues Nope :)

Bought mine at Cabela's earlier this year.
After a little over a 1000 rounds whether it be brass or steel ammo I have had no problems whatsoever...

The only problem with the M&P AR15 Sport is finding one in stock.

Local dealer here gets a handtruck load via the Brown Truck of Happiness every week, and runs out on the weekend.

The Sport II is an incredibly popular entry level AR15, but there are also some with plenty of AR15s who are picking them up as well. In my case it filled a gap in my collection. (I needed a flat top carbine set up for low light use, my other carbines have a fixed carry handle or scope.) Some who have their own AR15s are getting them for their wife and kids. They are a very cost effective gun. There are cheaper AR15s out there, but you start deleting key features.

Just back from my second range trip.

No problems with the M&P-15 Sport II mechanism at all. 100% success at getting it to digest both factory and handloaded ammunition with bullets weighing from 45 to 60 grains fed from plastic, aluminum and steel magazines.

My problem was with the factory-supplied MBUS rear sight. Suffice it to say that after range trips in October and November, I couldn't ever get the sights adjusted properly; the rifle was consistently impacting lower than it's point of aim.

I replaced the MBUS sight with an M16A2 style carrying handle/rear sight and within five three-round strings, I was shooting groups at 50 and 100 yards that could be covered with a quarter and at 225 yards (I don't have 200 yards), the groups were within 2 inches.

So, my experience is that the Magpul MBUS sight is the wrong size and so doesn't work. When it was replaced, everything was quickly sighted in and the rifle worked fine.

With all due respect, the stock Sport MBUS works for the majority of the people, so it's probably not the sights that are the problem......unless you got one that was defective.

2 co workers of mine bought the sport 2 to use as a patrol rifle. We went to the range and both had problems with double feeding. One of the rifles smoothed out after a few magazines and never had another problem. The other one had to be returned and after S&W replaced the BCG it is now a reliable rifle. A local department issues them for patrol rifles and have not had any problems with them.

That's some amazing shooting...To be able to see a 100 yards would be nice but 225 yards amazing....My old Eyes"

These are very similar to the one my son gave me. I also found some just like the ones my son gave me at Bass Pro. I have seen them in many stores. The only difference between yours and mine are the little tabs on the out side of the ear. and of coarse the price. Yours $20.00 + mine $3.00 They really do look the same and probably work the same. IMHP.
