Any shield ka-booms lately?

Not a problem with my new shield 40,
Already have 350 rounds through her,
W.w.b and Speer gold dots

I'd really like to see posts that are responsive to the thread title. The posts in this thread are non-responsive.
I like seeing post the are helpful to the OP...

Post in this thread are responsive to the OP's questions. People who do not know the answer to the OP's first question are answering his/her second question.

My comment related to the thread title, the more important question. I think it better not to presume that people do not know the answer. The answers avoid the question and thus are non-responsive to it.

Just got my second Shield .40 no problems with the first one at all!! I wont even look at CTD however Buds Gun Shop has them at great prices and are always a pleasure to deal with

Both my questions got answered very well. I was concerned with any un-reported Ka-booms (blow outs ) but also with the two gun sellers I mentioned. Even got a new one suggested that I hadn't heard about.
Really appreciate all the responses and the concern that my questions were answered. Feeling better all the time and excited about getting a shield .40 but for now will have to wait till vacation time is over so I can be home when the FFL dealer receives my order.

Glad that both of your questions have been answered.

to all that are making jokes about Ka-booms, I'm sure you won't be joking about it, if it happens to you.

Obviously... But what's the alternative? Stay away from everything and anything that MIGHT be harmful?

Should I stop riding my motorcycle because some people have crashed theirs?
Should I stay away from any vehicle that's been involved in a crash, or had a recall?
Should I stay away from ANY gun brand that's had a Kaboom, or a recall? If so... What's left to shoot?

"Careful with that BB gun... you could put your eye out."
Careful with that slingshot... The rubber band could break.

Where are all the threads and posting of pics where purported kabooms have occurred with the .40S&W Shield? Can anybody provide that, or is it all merely rumor and internet BS?

I think there's been only one post with pics on here. So it's hard to honestly believe this is happening all over the place

Some would argue that it's not the gun...its the cartridge. I think you'd have better luck using your Google-fu on ".40 kaboom". At least, from what I understand, it happens across the spectrum of handgun manufacturers, commonly with .40.

I just picked up a 40 Shield that my GF loves.... We put it through a workout with various, loads over 500 rounds, and no problems.

Ive been reading on the Kabooms just like on the Glock kabooms.

Im a Glock armorer and personally put through 20k plus on my G22. My duty gun (HK p2000 in 40) has about the same and I havnt seen any problems.

My question is, does anyone have a definitve answer on the ones that did blow up; was it due to set back of bullet, out of battery discharge etc?
