anybody florida hiway patrol pre-61

Hey just wondering if anybody on here might have served in the florid highway patrol from 1939 - 1961? Trying to make a connection with anybody who might know family members. Just a shot in the dark. Based out of lake city.

Lug, you'd be looking at some pretty old guys. Back in the early 60s, I was running from them, mostly.

The only one I can remember by name was Bob Sweet, based in Fort Myers. He retired shortly after I became a LEO, late 60s or early 70s.

Yeah, I didn't expect much. My father in law, has his fathers service revolver and have been tracking down history on this piece and I was just hoping I might here from somebody who knew somebody whose uncles, cousins, mother in laws dads, brother might have been in those days. His father died in 1961. I believe he was original H.P. in lake city fl. JUST A SHOT IN THE DARK.
