Just joined up and am from the Northeast as well.

I think I ran across this forum numerous times in the past researching things but never joined. We have a pretty busy and very helpful northeastshooters forum too.

I think I just decided to join up here since I've had a little time on my hands being out on FMLA with work and it's been a valuable resource in the past.

I know Weymouth quite well having grown up in Quincy. Is the Weymouth chief still as tough on LTC applicants?

Many of us cotton to...

:D You will find that a lot on here are gear heads!

...mechanical things. Guns, MECHANICAL watches are good examples. That's part of the fascination for me. I'm not a gear head, but worked as a mechanical designer. And the history. And the reloading. And the smell of Hoppes #9 and burning gunpowder. And the flash. And the bang. And the recoil. And the SHOOTING!

SOME of us get a little carried away, too.:D

Hey, I might need one of those! What’s a bitcoin? :p

I've have noticed that even more neutral and former anti-gun people of the past have been buying guns. I think even they realize the safer & more sane world as we knew it is no longer! I also believe that because the gun laws and the push to severely restrict them over the recent past gave them the incentive to act while they could. Since the Northern States are the ones generally becoming much more restrictive, they are the ones we see changing their attitudes on the subject.
