Anybody own a pimp gun?

If I ever find the brushed-nickel 2214 I have been looking for, like the one in the lower right corner here (photo courtesy of ColbyBruce), that will be my pimp gun.

Maybe I'll invest in some Mother of Pearl grips or some fake Ivory to dress it up for when I go to my pimp barbecues.

Or maybe I'd just get some white nail polish and add zebra stripes to the black factory grips and call it a day.

A shiny nickel plated Model 61 with yellowed grips would also be a great pimp gun, though I don't really want to own one.

Not sure if this qualifies either, but it is as close as I can get.

This is the first 1911 I ever bought. It was used, of course, and wore stock rubber grips.

The box elder wood grips came later.

I really like them. But, for some reason, I am a little reluctant to take it to the range wearing them.

I have a Galesi .25, but blued. It's my usual carry gun as it fits in my front pants pocket, and leaves no print through my clothing. I have found mine to be very reliable, but only with CCI Blazer FMJ ammo. Other ammo brands (and I've tried about all of them) exhibit occasional misfeeds, so I stick with the Blazer loads.

Dewalt - I never really heard about the Galesi brand before I was given that one by my dad. It is heavier than I expected and better built than I would have guessed. My great grandfather must have known that it was a solid piece, otherwise he would not have adopted it into his routine. Sadly, I carry a Sig p238 when I need a piece in that size range. I really need to carry it some once in a while to honor his memory (never met him, but heard some really great stories).

Keep bringing the bling guys, this has been a lot of fun!
