Anybody want to see an RM I found?

It shot very well, thank you. A little high though, the rear sight was bottomed out, adjusted it back up and everything worked just fine. It was so light, I thought the mainspring screw was turned back, but, it wasn't, its just that smooth and limber.

Mike, kind of like that old junky M&P Target you own with the aftermarket side plate attachment. That one has to be worth nothing since it has so much character........

Funny thing about character. The more the gun has, the less it is worth !

That depends entirely on who is doing the valuation.

What matters to pure collectors may be completely different to what matters to others.

I would restore that gun in a heartbeat.

Guns with "character" and people with "character" share a common virtue.

Those who know them tend to call upon them in times of need more than they do those guns and people that only exude "value".

Please, PLEASE, keep it original, such as it is. It's really beautiful, and the person(s) who carried it worked long and hard to get it that way. I think there's a time and place for refinishing guns, and this is not one of them.

I agree. If I'm going to a gunfight, I'll reach for a gun that I know how it shoots, NOT the safe queen that's never been fired. Same for the people: go for one who is "tried and true".

Early in my police career, I worked with some officers who had started their careers in the '50s. Several of them didn't do well at the range on qualification day, but they were ones that you wanted for back-up when "the feces inpact the air circulating device".
