Hello folks,
My last AR purchase was a Compass Lake target rifle made for Service Rifle matches/DCM type stuff. It groups 77 and 80 grain bullets into 1/2-3/4" at 100yards, but-it weighs a ton and is a full-length rifle.
I would like to buy a new AR carbine (M-4 style) with collapsible buttstock/forward assist/GI push-pins/flash hider I can remove and install a suppressor on/GI trigger/chrome-lined 1/8 or 1/9barrel/handguards with heat shields/No M203 barrel cuts, since I don't need or have access to a grenade or its launcher, so HBAR or medium weight barrel/mid-length gas system. I prefer a detachable carry handle model, or an optic rail that will accept a detachable handle.
Does such a carbine exist currently? I should ask, does either Bushmaster, S&W or Colt make one? I have seen a few on the big auction site, but they specify Remington, which I don't mind, but I never knew big green made anything like a Bushmaster Patrol rifle, but since I mainly shoot pistols and Garands, I haven't kept up with the changes in the last 15 years.
All suggestions or even snarky comments are welcome:D
Thanks for your help!

I have pretty much the exact carbine you describe. I "built" it using a complete Palmetto State Armory upper and a complete Palmetto State Armory lower, purchased separately on sale. The barrel's not chrome lined, but otherwise it's just what you specify. Total cost as I recall was about $375.

Start shopping and you will get so many sale e mails it will astound you! Palmetto State Armory,CDNN,Primary Arms and Midway sent me some good ones just today. All the big online guys have some regular deals on complete guns if that is your preference.

Yes, as Vonn said, plenty of sales. Just got this one today. Just make a small purchase or give them you're email address and they won't leave you alone. Limited Time Specials

After the Sandy Hook incident, AR manufacturers started cranking out lower receivers in fear of a possibly ban, I'm sure more uppers were being made too. Well with no ban there's a surplus of ARs out there keeping the price affordable again. But that can all change with another major incident or after the 2020 election. So there's no better time then now to buy. Or maybe you can have Santa put one under the tree for you.

There are plenty AR manufacturers out there. Some big, some small and run of the mills and build your own. Another came to mind, Stag Arms. https://www.stagarms.com/

RRA has exactly what you described as a stock item. Several of the makers mentioned above don't offer the hard chrome lined barrels. Based upon our institutional experience with Bushmaster (before Remington bought them out), I wouldn't take one as a gift. Remington may have improved the product, I prefer not to be a beta tester.

I should add I've seen bunches of the RRA product at various schools in the hands of Feds from a number of agencies. Saw no problems, nor did the users report any.

Thanks everyone. I located a new S&W complete Lower with collapsible stock. I would like to find a complete 16" barreled upper with M-Lok handguard, although a Magpul would work just fine. I have a Bcg, so that isn't a problem. I'll look at some of the sites you folks have recommended. If anyone knows a specific place that sells such a thing, please let me know. Thanks!
