While online shopping for wheel guns, I came across this site: HomePage - Guns Clan.

They have a very interesting assortment of new guns for sale, and generally at what appears to be close to wholesale prices. So I wonder whether they are buying guns from "stores in distress."

[FYI, their website search features are very basic. It took me a while to locate the revolvers I was looking for. FYI, I found them through a Google search.]

Anyone here ever do a transaction with them?

Their address is listed as a single family home, currently off the market. Their phone number also comes up as Murdocks Gun shop. Both seem to have the same layout.

Here’s the report from scam detector:

Scam-Detector - Murdocks Gun Shop

Scam-Detector - Gunsclan.com

They accept bitcoin (20% discount?), Western Union, Zelle…, but not credit cards.

NO WAY would I send them money.

I was unimpressed by the selection. Low/moderate prices don't entice me to own something I really don't want. Save Ferrous! above's post says it all, too.

This is similar to a store I found online when searching for a limited run Ruger #1 in 22 Hornet. This store had 'em for $300 to $500 less than anyone else. I lost interest when I went to check out and learned they didn't take credit cards, but some other form of payment I'd never heard of.

These are all scams. The person at the other end is likely in South America.

If not, call them and use a card or arrange for a Postal Money Order mailed to their physical address.

If you send a money order, I would tie a long string to it so you can pull it back from the scammer. ;)

"Machine guns?"

"Derringers?"

Haha. I wouldn't trust that site further than I could throw it....which is, 0 feet.

If you really did insist on buying something from them, you should call them and have them send you their FFL and then look at reviews.

This site throws up all kinds of red flags.

Remember what Grandpa said. If it looks to good to be true, it probably is. That advice works today as much as it did in his day. Probably more relevant today.

As much as I would like to believe it, there is no "no-name" gun store out there who is fully stocked up with all the stuff that no one else can get and is dying to sell it to me at a severely reduced cost. This fantasy ranks right up there with the other one that I have about "The Land of Free Beer".

Nice idea...just have the "seller" provide you their mugshot and the location of their financial institution. The police will take over from there. ;)

I agree. “Nice idea…”, NOT!!!

I’ll bet 10 spitcoins the creators of this website are in another country. It’s fairly obvious that English isn’t their primary language.

This is from their website:

Like everyone above me has said, that site has more red flags than a professional matador... But, if you want to give it a shot, please report your results...

Gol durn guys! Give a hacker a break

Boy...I dunno about this one especially cause I once knew a guy named Murdock.

15 years ago I missed out on the Nigerian Oil Minister who had millions waiting for me..but I didn't respond and he must have given away that money cause he quit e-mailing me.

10 years ago one of my grandsons called saying he was in jail and needed some money wired immediately. I was really worried cause he had the right name, nice American accent, had the address to wire money to... I backed out of that one too cause my grandson was 3 years old at the time.

Now you guys are alarming me again about possibly loosing out on a once in a lifetime sale on guns I don't want, need, but how can these prices be ignored?

I have some old pennies that I'll glady bite down on and leave marks to prove it.....is there a phone number for these guys where I can see if those will qualify as "bit-coins"?

I didn't know a bit-coin was simply a penny that had been bit! Dang! I could have converted my Mason jar of pennies to a bazillion dollars! Guess I missed out on cashing in on the bit-coin craze.

I'm sure Gunsclan is just a gunsscam.

No sweat.
I paid with cash. ;)

"They can't be scammers, I hope. I called them up after not receiving the gun I ordered & paid for. They said they needed my bank information to cash my money order I sent them. They said it was secure so I gave it to them. The man sounded very honest."
How many times do you hear quotes similar to that from older, confused people? Heat up the tar & rip open a couple old pillows.
