Anyone carry a Glock?

I loaned my Glock 27 to my neighbor when he went looking at a motorcycle. I have seen it in the pouch on his new Harley. You just can't trust them motorcycle people...

I pack mine in a pair of Galco SOB Holsters but NOT in the SOB location. I use one each on the Right, just behind the Hip and one each of the Left just behind the Hip. aka:Strong Side Carry. Here's the Right Side one:

Can I see the left side, thanks.

Every day is a G29. I absolutely love that sidearm. The recoil impulse of a 180-gr 10mm Gold Dot is much less than you would imagine.

My truck gun is a G34 with Trijicons, although I do sometimes carry the 34 when attire allows.

I'm going to the movie matinee with the wife today. I've been known to drop a 442 in a pocket when going to the theatre but I usually dress around one of the GLOCKs.

Mike,
My CCW lately has been a G23 LEO package. I put up my very early S&W 4013TSW and got the Glock because of higher capacity mags.
The 4013 had been a constant companion since graduating from FLETC in 1997. The Issue Beretta M96DAO was a pig and too big for concealed carry.
The Glock is fine for what I do now, and as big as I am I can hide it very well under my Big Dog T shirt. Great advantage to being retired is no more dressing up. Jeans and Ts or shorts and Ts.
Don't like pocket guns, Belt holsters for me.

It's ok to carry a Glock, so long as it is thoroughly concealed, such that friends, criminals and the police and others can never, ever see it; lest you become known as "The Dude with the Ugly Gun." Kinda like having a really homely girlfriend whose other talents more than make up for weakness in the beauty department. I think it's desirable and possible to have your cake and eat it too.

Had three Glock's,M-17,M-19 and M-27,dident fit my hand quite right. No problem with the Gock's, they were accurate and reliable. S&W came out with thier M&P series, now own two M&P's and no Glocks! My best "fit" semi auto is the M-39.

Every day, I will have either my G26, G21, or G30 in an MTAC holster. If the day calls for clothing that makes it hard to conceal the Glocks, I have a Kel-Tec PF-9 and a P3AT in my pockets.

Although some find the mini (26,27,33) glocks to be too much for pocket carry, I have not. My Kramer pocket holster does a great job, and it improves my ability to carry all the time, pretty much without regard to the clothes I am wearing.

Personally, if I had to carry a Glock as a duty weapon, it would be a 17/19. Those are by far the best products they make.

The Glocks ain't "Pretty" but then neither is a 16 pound sledge hammer but 'tools' don't need to be pretty as long as they get the "JOB" done and the Glock does a very Pretty job of doing the "JOB" right and frequently doing it Right the First time.

I was looking at a Glock 23 to use as both a concealed carry and possible duty sidearm. Ended up going with the S&W Sigma SW40VE. For $250 less, it is a great sidearm and great value.

That said, I still would like a Glock when/if I can convince the missus to up my allowance!

When I shoot with my LEO/NRA buds, we often swap around handguns. I love shooting the Glock (17/19/22/23). Great fit for my hands and a proven record of reliability from around the world.

I wear a Glock 19 in a Miami Classic when I want light weight, but adequate firepower. I carry a model 20 when hiking in unknown territory. It goes along in a Comp-Tac paddle with two spare mags, enough firepower to start a small war.

I understand that one of the design goals of he Glock was to make the world's lousiest trigger. Well they succeeded admirably.

What exactly does a Glock do that a Model 36 won't? I mean besides ruin brass.

I obtained a Glock 34 - longer tube full size 9mm - for when the zombies come. Now I just need a G26 to go with it. I also have a Glock 32 in .357 Sig.

I should get a carry rig for the G34, it seems a handy pistol, about the size of a 1911.

I rotate between the G22, a Kimber 1911 and the 642 w/ CT's, depending on clothing/weather.

The 22 is an extremely accurate pistol, and with some trigger work, actually feels smooth as anything else I carry.

For a very long time I hated Glocks. Never held one or shot one. Just loved a good all metal gun like a 1911 and S&W. A year ago I started to work part time in a gun shop. Picked up a G19 one day and loved the feel of it. Did my home work and talked to folks who had shot one or owned one. I now have a G19 and love it. Fun and easy to shoot. The shop I work at just got in a new Rough Texture Frame G22. My gosh!! I like it, and may have to get one when they make it in other calibers.
I like to carry a 45, but I just may put the G19 on some day.

I've shot several Glock models, they are fine weapons.
I just have no desire to own one.
As long as Sig, S&W, Beretta, Kimber, Springfield, and Colt are in business, why buy one.

My opinion, no insult to anyone or putting Glock down. I just don't want one at all.

Just turn this picture over. I use the same type holster in the same place on the Left hip. I'm too old to be even considering something Silly like using an ankle holster for a second gun. It would be way too slow and completely useless.
