Yes it is, but there is pretty well no practical size or weight differential between a Terrier and a Chiefs Special, and the probable differences in effectiveness between the better loadings in each chambering is worth considering. If you have decided to carry and decided on a steel J frame, there may be better choices than the Terrier.
