Wondering what the best or most comfortable IWB holster would be for a Model 60. I'm sure you have your favorite. Let me know. I'm thinking about buying a NIB Model 60 this week and I'm going to need a comfortable holster. I might even consider a shoulder rig if I can find a comfortable one. Leave our suggestions for me.

Thanks.

For one of my J-frames I have an IWB from Bell Charter Oak (look up Lefty on the S&W Vendors site) and I love it. Fits the gun like a glove and disappears when worn.

Uncle Mikes - simple and clips to anything I'm wearing. Since my 60 is more of a summer carry item that often means weaker or no belt shorts. The inside-the-pant has enough grip to stay in place IWB.

all above are good recommendations, personally every firearm that I IWB gets a MS VMII.

I love my Model 60 and especially now that the weather is scorching hot. I have a IWB Safariland holster and it shrouds the weapon nicely and has enough material to keep the hammer from poking into your sides. I can wear it with a belt or with out as long as the shirt covers your weapon. My Uncle Mike's is also a good alternative that is cooler and more flexible as you bend and move when driving or lounging.

I carry my 60 in a Galco Tuck-n-go. Its an IWB that I can tuck my shirt into. All you can see is a tiny part of the clip that holds on to the belt.

It was about $30ish as I recall. Similar to the stow-n-go, but the clip is hidden, and you can tuck your shirt in over it.

For many years I carried a 36,37 and a 60 with the Barami Hip grip. Tucked in the front of my pants about the 1:00 position we logged many hours together with nary a problem.

My model 60 is my go to concealed carry. Simply Rugged make a great holster that can be IWB or OWB. Can carry all day and never know it's there.

i never could get use to iwb carry,my model 60 goes into a milt sparks owb holster and is comfortable to wear, fits the gun like a glove and fits snug to the waist. i really like it.

A Model 60 in a Bianchi "Professional"works well for me...

I use the DeSantis Clip grip on my 438. It is a boot style so you don't need a Tyler T grip adaptor.

The IWB by the guys at Backwoods Leather in Virginia Beach VA are awesome. They use a wide metal duty clip so the holster holds solid. Perfect for a J-frame.

Galco Royal Guard IWB works for me. Or a Desantis summer heat, which is about half the cost but not as nice and sturdy.

A good OWB choice that is very comfortable and that disappears underneath an untucked shirt is the Galco Concealable Holster (CON158B if your are a righty). Wear it a 5:00 and you will forget about that hunk of stainless steel on your hip. Much more comfortable than IWB.

I'm glad to see this thread, for I too would like a proper holster for my sweet 60-4. !0 o'clock position, I,think, so I can get to it while in the car. Maybe not, 'cause I'd hate to give it up for having shot the BG that wanted my wheels.

If you can't find it on Lobogunleather or Bell Charter Oak's site, they don't make it...the one thing you should look for on an IWB is an offset clip to reduce bulk....metal clips or snap loops are your choice...one is easier on and off, the other is a bit more security...:)

I carry My Model 60 in a Older Desantis IWB Holster No problems with comfort during all day carry,I use Milt Sparks Summer Special's for My other carry guns but I purchased the Desantis used off eBay several years a go for $20

I've carried a model 60 for most of the past four years. When wearing loose fitting pants, I usually carry inside the front pocket (DeSantis pocket holster). I have a set of the original combats grips with a Tyler T-grip. Makes for a good grip without a lot of bulk. I also have a Bianchi "professional" that I use for IWB. I usually have at least one speed strip in my pocket.

BTW, the model 60 (not the magnum frame 60-9) is a pretty good carry gun. Some think it's a little heavy, you will like the heft when shooting. The magnum frame model 60 (60-9) is a great J-frame (I've had one for 16 years), it's just a little longer. It's great for IWB carry.

I carried a model 60 I bought new about 1970 for over 30 years just in my front right pants pocket with no holster. I had bought a model 36 hammer and had the spur cut off and top flat checked so I could carefully cock it if wanted. I lost it when my truck was stolen. I then went to a old model 40 hammerless. To me, a 2 inch snub is for the pocket. I do have a seldom used model 34 2" that I have holsters for but I just havent got into packing it over a couple times so far. I also have a 3" model 36 that I occasionaly OC with a leather pancake style.

I use this one I got from the Dillon catalog for about $15 if I rember right. It is used a lot for about 10 years now. I can forget its on.

Hey Round, that's how the Galco Tuck-n-go works - so you can tuck your shirt over the stocks and have it held tight by the clip. I like that style best.

I have the DeSantis Summer Heat. Rides well not super snug fit on gun, but I think I will never see a problem with that.

What's the model, or the holster name?

On a recommendation from a couple here, I just ordered a Sideguard Minimal snap for AIWB. Unfortunately, you will have to wait three months for my review although considering this is a four year old thread, I suspect you have figured it out by this time.

I just traded a buddy of mine for an Urban Carry holster for my 340PD it works better than pocket carry for me I'm always walking or getting in out of truck check em out on you tube

It's not as fast as they show on line but it's nice

But you can't beat an out side the waistband for comfort and quick draw think about it the more concealment you have the harder it is to reach
