Anyone collect old fishing gear?

We have a local auction and this fishing stuff goes for peanuts...I mean BOXES and boxes of it for just a few dollars... I am sure there are some rare plugs and stuff in there, but it is completely out of my area of knowledge and interest.

Much of it seems to be brought down from Michigan retirees and is auctioned when they pass.

My fishing gear is mostly old, but it's not really a collection.

my pile was not intentional... I inherited my father's / grandfather's tackle... literally a steel tackle box full of stuff and a few bait casting reels they used for trolling on fishing adventures... used and lost quite a few lures in my youth... regret that a bit.. but have no idea what to do with this stuff now... son doesn't fish, and none of my nieces or nephews either... hate to sell them for next to nothing.. the silver minnow is actually made with silver.. it tarnishes... most of the stuff isn't even legal to use anymore.. too many hooks
