I sent my M&P mag rebate in August when I bought my Pro. I knew they were way behind and wasn't worried about it, so I finally called today. No record of my paperwork

Stuff happens

If you have a good relationship with your gun dealer you could ask him to write you out another receipt and send it in. We do it all the time.

Next time, make copies. It's not a ripoff, just a failure in somebody's system (and it could be USPS)

I agree, send in another form. They should track by serial number so you should be alright. I had a weird one where they sent more paperwork to fill out a month later. Then it was still 8 weeks for then rebate and 6 months for the mags(15rd .40s'), this was for a gun purchased 12/07.

Thanks for the advice guys. I wasn't saying the offer was a ripoff. I got my .40 mags and $50 rebate from the first offer. I called S&W also and the serial wasn't used yet, so no foulplay there. I just hate the whole rebate thing no matter who does them . Always a PITA. I'll get with the dealer and send it under the new plan.

Grinder, you might also take a photo of the gun with the serial no. visible just as an added proof of ownership and send that as well. Good luck and I am sure you will recieve the mags, just another wait involved. zorro49

I hope you get your rebate. I ordered a Mod 24 Classic today. it has a 50.00 rebate also. It made my purchase a little easier on the wallet. Or will anyway, when it arrives. Good luck.

Took S&W forever, but they got around to sending me the mags last year. Took even longer for the S&W range bag to arrive- which still sits wrapped in plastic. Nice bag though.

Gotta make sure you make and keep copies of everything for a rebate.

Same thing happened to me with my 1000 free bullets from Hornady. I just re-sent everything and they processed it rush. Hopefully S&W does the same for you.

Good luck!

I had the same thing happen to me recently. I still had my original receipt and found a current rebate form, scratched out the dates and inserted the original dates and added a note that I had already sent one in 3 months prior and was a loyal purchaser of S&W products. Believe it or not, I got my mags in 2 weeks. I think the 'loyal purchaser' is what got their attention.

Smith was obviously not prepared for the response to the rebate program, but the concept they would rip anyone is a bit over the top...

IMHO, their CS is the best in the business, perhaps in virtually any business...

bought mine the last day possible for the rebate. I selected the $30 rebate, and the check just showed up last week.

Well, the dealer and I got a new set of paperwork together.
We'll see what happens.
Also CDNN has new ones in stock at $30 each FYI
