Anyone Else Like Lever Action Rifles Here!

So far, I only have:
Marlin 1894 20" 44 Magnum
Marlin 1894P 16"Ported 44 Magnum
Winchester 94AE 16" 357 Magnum
Marlin 39 TDS 16" 22LR

I think the Winchester is my favorite because it is in 357.
My next will be a Marlin in 357.

I found this new, unfired 1981 manufactured Marlin Golden 39A this past January at a Lake County, FL gun show.

This is my third Marlin Golden 39A. I let friends talk me into selling them the first two. That's not going to happen again. :D

That vertical dispersion is due to cataracts y'all; nothing wrong with the rifle! :)

I had a Winchester 97 Trapper in .357 for a while. Picked it up to shoot SASS while I enjoyed the shooting (always been a single action fan) the club was big into the dress and was pushing me hard to get more into the spirit of it on the attire. I just couldn't take that part too serious so stopped shooting it.
The little trapper turned out to be a pretty nice little rifle but some trade came up so I let it go.

Right now I've only got one; a basic Henry. I'd like to get a Golden Boy Eagle Scout edition and a Winchester 1894 saddle ring carbine in .32 win spl. My father "hunted" with one growing up, I'd love to surprise him with one and a box of ammo someday.

Lever guns are another favorite of mine, lots of fun to shoot.
From the top, Uberti Henry in 44-40, Uberti 73 Sporting Rifle in .45 Colt, Uberti Sporting Rifle in .357, Winchester 94 NRA Centennial Musket in 30-30 and a first year production Winchester 92 that started life as a 44-40 Rifle and at some point was made into a 44 Magnum Carbine.

I only have 2 lever guns in my collection - a Savage 99C (pictured) in .308 Winchester, and a Marlin 1895 chambered in .357 Magnum. The Savage is my favorite deer and hog hunting rifle. I got lucky with the "JM" stamped Marlin and bought it NIB with the box, factory literature and hang tag for $500.00 - just before the price boom occurred. I've been offered as much as $1,000.00 cash for it at the gun range. I just smile and say "No thank you. It's not for sale."

BTW - with the Marlin and carrying a .357 Magnum revolver, I learned those old cowboys who carried rifles and pistols chambered for the same round were pretty smart.

Regards,

Dave

I have the Rossi 92 in .357,.44mag,.45colt and a .480 ruger. I also have a Marlin 94 in .41mag. I did have two Marlin 45-70’s that I gave to my grandsons

I SEARCHED FOR DECADES, FOR A REAL VINTAGE M336 "MARLIN MARAUDER", IN .35 REMINGTON. I CARRIED A CARD IN MY WALLET, WITH SERIAL NUMBER PREFIXES, AND YEARS OF MANUFACTURE......

I NEVER FOUND ONE---WHICH WAS PROBABLY A GOOD THING, BECAUSE I WAS PREPARED TO PAY "CRAZY MONEY" TO OWN ONE......

I DID SEE ONE IN .30-30 WINCHESTER, AT A GUN SHOW. THE INHOSPITABLE VENDOR TOLD ME IT WAS SOLD, AND WOULD NOT ENGAGE IN ANY FURTHER DISCUSSION ABOUT IT......

AT THIS STAGE OF THE GAME, I'M TOO OLD TO BE BUYING A BUNCH OF GREEN BANANAS. A MARAUDER IS THE LAST THING ON MY MIND........

I would like to add a 9422M, a 44 magnum in either a Marlin or Win ‘92 & while I’m at it another 45-70. Currently have a 9422 High Grade, 1873 in 45 Colt, a post 64 Model 94, a Browning 1886 rifle & a sweet Model 71 purchased on this forum. Little man has a RMEF life memeber Henry golden boy but he doesn’t know about it yet.
