I used the rubber Talon Grips but found them to be too slick. I didn't like the sandpaper Talon Grips either.
So I bought extra plastic grips for my 6906 & 457 and stippled them. After stippling I ran 400 grit sandpaper over the stippling to knock down the sharp high points.
Functionally, they turned out better than I thought eventhough they don't look good.
I applied the stippling asymmetrically for my right handed grip. This gave me maximum grip on the right side and back strap of the grip. Less stippling on the left side of the grip prevents rubbing against my skin while carrying but still provides enough grip for a left handed grip, if needed.
What has happened is I wear them IWB at 3 oclock and sweat from my body gets on the grips as well as the sweat from my hands. Shooting outdoors here in south Florida in the summer will work up a good sweat and make your guns hard to hold.
I do have Hogue grips for these two guns. I like the Hogue grips on the 457 but prefer the smaller factory grip size.
The Hogue grips for the 6906 are way too thick for me to shoot comfortably.
Then I threw in a picture of my buddy.

I'm not a grip stippler but I do sympathize with your loss. We lost our good for nothing/sleep all day/eat her weight in food flea-bitten mange mongrel earlier this year after nearly as long. It leaves a hole that isn't filled.

Our son had a Boxer, Ben, which is supposed to be about a 10 year dog. That's just about exactly how long he made it. It was super hard on both my son and myself, as I spent a lot of time walking ol Ben. Ben.JPG

I reduced the hump in my 6906 grips and then it was slick, which
I thought looked ok but ended up stippling it a bit.

Lost my buddy "Dillon" over 3 years ago. Just cant get myself to get another doggy. He was such a good mutt. Wife took this picture of us, she thought it was funny. I had a copy made and labeled it "A hard day in the field".
