Anyone Ever Been To A Tilted Kilt Bar & Grill

Yes, decent food, a lot of eye candy. Very similar to Hooters or Show Me's. The food at TK is Celtic themed.

Nothing local. Looks like they have four in southern Arizona. We do have The Celtic Crossing in Prescott ... the bar maids really look like authentic, Celtic bar maids and the owner wears a kilt and sporran. Good food and music though.

Never heard of it but I do see there are 2 locations in GA within about an hour's driving distance. Unfortunately here in Atlanta that means about 20 miles.

Never even heard of it. Do they serve this?...

WTH is that??

From Wikepedia..."Haggis is a traditional Scottish dish. There are many recipes, most of which have in common the following ingredients: sheep's 'pluck' (heart, liver and lungs), minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, spices, and salt, mixed with stock, and traditionally boiled in the animal's stomach for approximately three hours."

Never tried it myself though, but any fine Scottish place should have it on the menu...

I am currently in training to be a manager for my restaurant. In the store I am training in, the GM that I worked with for about a month just left on Friday to go work for Tilted Kilt. In fact, he just landed in Arizona today to start training. Him and I stopped by the one in Woodridge, IL after work last Thursday. Seems like a pretty happening place. We sat and discussed the restaurant and the concept over a couple of beers. Definetely a place I would like to check out some more. He is going to be opening one on 95th and Ridgeland in Chicago Ridge, and then one in Mokena...

This may be an exemplar of notorious Scottish parsimony, but not, to my way of thinking, food.

Looked at their Internet site.

Seems that it's just another typical fast-food/beer joint featuring hamburgers with
silly gimmick names and a few entrees that come from the deep fryer.

I wonder if the company will over franchise and a lot of poor schmucks
will go bust in this economy.

Anyone had a whiskey on the rocks at the place? So many chains/franchises seem
to think that a bourbon on the rocks is to get the ice slightly wet from the booze.
And while I'm on my soapbox: Lord save us from chocolate, strawberry, mango,
pineapple, watermelon martinis!
