EDC most like duty carry M&P 2.0?

Hi, y'all, new guy here. Have carried S&W pistols and revolvers off and on throughout my adult life, but I have a specific question regarding the full-size M&P 2.0 9mm duty gun. My daughter is a corrections sergeant and carries a M&P 2.0 in 9mm while on duty, and I want to get her an EDC pistol that is concealable but shares as many features of the full-size 2.0 as possible so that she become as comfortable and familiar with her duty weapon while also having a quality EDC. Would the 4" 9c be the way to go? Is the 3.5" 9sc too dissimilar from the full-size version to offer the familiarity I'm hoping to achieve? Any input is greatly appreciated!

I carry an M&P 2.0 full size for work purposes, and also have a 2.0 Compact and a Shield Plus. The 2.0 Compact is easier to index and shoot.

I don't have a 1.0 Compact or 2.0 Subcompact, but I suspect that transferability of skills/muscle memory for the 2.0 SC will depend upon how broad her individual palm span is.
