I see CDNN still has some. I've wanted a new hunting rifle for some time now and I thought the new Ruger American was calling my name. Excellent reviews, priced abut $350 at the LGS... I thought I wanted one until I held it in my hands. I've always liked the solid feeling of real wood and the couple poly rifles I've held have also seemed solid to me. Not as much but the Ruger American seemed a little.. hollow may be the best way to describe it. I'm sure it's built tough but it didn't have the tough feel to it. I held a couple other $300-$400 rifles and they all had the same plastic feel the American had. Then I compared it to a couple $500 and $600 poly rifles and they seemed to be a little more stout or maybe a little more rubbery material that felt better in the hands, not hard plastic.
So... How does the I-Bolt stack up against other poly rifles in terms of the stock? Cheap feeling like the $300-$400 rifles? Thanks!
