Anyone have experience with Hi-Tek lead bullets through the S&W PowerPort

Anyone have experience with Hi-Tek coated lead bullets in the L frame PowerPort revolver? Ruling out jacketed bullets do the Hi-Tek lead bullets reduce PowerPort buildup compared to traditional lubed bullets? Do they come close to jacketed bullets?

I’d recommend not doing so. I’ve used some in my PCC and found the leading of the flash suppressor to be bad. Took some effort to remove. I now only use FMJ in the PCC. That said, you may have different results

You can make the leading easier to clean out if you clean the port well, then spray inside it with Dillon Case Lube or mig welding anti spatter spray every 100 rounds.

Have to try that....have plenty of welding anti-splatter here.
