Couple years ago my wife took a shooting class and came away convinced she needed a 9mm handgun and a 12ga pump shotgun. I found her a S&W 6906 and a Remington 870 slug gun. She still has the S&W but has supplemented that with a Ruger LCR 357. 12 ga and her have never come to an understanding.

I know from past hunting she handles a 20ga just fine. Recently I found a NIB Stevens 320, 20 ga youth model on close out for $160. She's handled this particular model before and it seems to fit, but what can you expect reliability wise for $160? Anyone here actually shoot a 320?

Have seen them on sale for less than $200 around here. If the 320 is a Win 1300 clone, should be good. The Winchester 1200/1300 shotguns are very under-rated designs, probably because they have alloy frames and are perceived as being weak and flimsy, which is not true at all. That design eliminated the need for a steel frame.

Thanks, In looking at online reviews one common theme seems to be "Clean it before you shoot it to get the heavy manufacturing oils and crud out of the action." So I plan on cleaning it and then shooting a round or two of sporting clays with it. As I'm a SXS guy, not a pump guy, I figure this will be a good test.
