I like Spam pretty well, and eat it some, especially the reduced sodium sort. But I thought the turkey kind might be healthier.

I tried it. Don't. Some of the most bland, tasteless meat I've ever tried. I threw it out after enduring two slices.

Does anyone here like this stuff?

This is obviously only my opinion, and is presented as such. But I'm curious how others feel if they've tried it.

I love Original Spam!

Turkey Spam? Taste and smells like the south end of a north facing hound dog in the summer time with a slight breeze blowing over his stinky body.:) WHEW!

I actually do like it. Prepared just like any other variety of Spam. Sliced 1/4in thick , fried with butter and a splash of Franks Hot Sauce on toasted white bread with an ever so thin layer of mayo.

Yum-yum!

Spam Rocks! Sliced and fried up kinda crispy. Served on white bread with lots of yellow mustard. Must be the original, none of that turkey stuff.:D

I like regular Spam, but on my low fat diet, I have switched to Spam Lite. It is pretty good, but I can tell I've given up some taste. I don't think I'd want to try Turkey Spam. That just wouldn't be Spam. I see that they make Spam with Bacon and Spam with cheese.

Heck NO!

I like original Spam...even though I can't eat it now (we are on the Nutrisystem plan.) I like it best sliced, fried crisp, and served with mustard on white bread with a slice of cheddar cheese. Ymmm.

There is just something so wrong with trying to make this wonderfully trashy "meat" into something healthy. I suppose the turkey version would be served with alcohol-free lite beer.

Agreed it is pretty bland but fried it ain't too bad.

Course, frying sorta negates the reason you're eating the turkey.

First off, anyone who uses the word spam and healthy eating in the same post is missing the whole point.....;)

Nevermind-I see that Sip has expressed a much more concise take on this topic :D
