I had a Brittany named Ruger. Was original but heard of many later also named. I thought if I got another pair of bird dogs later though I'd name them Smith & Wesson.
Many years ago when my sister was a social worker she had a family on her caseload who, she swore, had a pair of boy-girl twins named Lucifer and Gazebo.
Smith, Wesson, Colt or even Glock would have to create fewer problems for a kid than that. Maybe not Hi Point--you don't want to think what eighth grade would be like for that one.
That's stupid-I'm a fisherman and if I had another kid I'd name him Penn International or maybe Tiagra..... Or Speckled Trout.![]()

Our son is named Smith.
A Group Called Smith is an album by soul/psych band Smith, released in 1969. It contains their biggest hit, a cover of The Shirelles' "Baby, It's You", which peaked at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 on November 1, 1969 (it spent a total of fifteen weeks on the chart)

Many many moons ago when I was a student at the Medical University of SC in Charleston, SC, a mother brought her twins to the pediatric clinic and the were named Syphillis (syphilis) and Gonorreah (gonnorhea). Go figure!
