I ordered a Bushnell red dot back on the 30th, and to my dismay it STILL has not shipped. I checked and it's still processing. Anyone ever have this experience with Palmetto Armory? Wow, I just never thought it'd take this long to process something....
The Holiday season really hit them hard. It's not an excuse, because it's up to them to staff up, but it still happened. I have ordered and received many items from them in the past.
Back on the 12th of December, I ordered a drop in carbine hand guard (PSA brand) that they had on sale for their Christmas promo. Around the 17th, I Emailed them to inquire about the status of the order. I never received a return Email, however, on the 20th (or so) around 8:30PM a package arrived to me via UPS from them. The status on my PSA order page still showed "processing", so I wasn't sure what was going on. I opened the box, thinking it was the hand guard, and it was a Bushnell Red Dot Scope. The pick ticket afixxed to the inside of the box was for someone else's order...even the the UPS label on the outside was addressed to me. It's clear that the order picker must have mixed up the orders.
On the 22nd, I called PSA customer support and after waiting 45 minutes on hold, a man named 'Ron" finally answered. I explained to him what had happened and what I believe the mistake was and he told me he would Email me a return label for the merchandise. I told Ron I had no problem at all sending the item back, but I would need to receive my order first to make sure it would be correct. The reason I told him that was because the item I had originally ordered was now showing "out of stock" and I wasn't about to return the scope only to get an Email (or nothing) telling me, "too bad...we are out of stock so oh well!" They weren't out of stock when I ordered so I wasn't about to get screwed further for their mistake(s). So, I told him as soon as I received my hand rail I would return the scope.
Ron, then told me that he had to hand this over to their "UPS exceptions" department (or similar) and that I would be contacted soon by some woman. 1/2 hour later, the email with the return label showed up and I have still yet to be contacted by anyone. Obviously, I still haven't received the part I order either.
I can understand making mistakes, and I can understand longer ship times because of the Holidays, but it is inexcusable to not be contacted about this or to not have received the part I ordered at this time.
So now, I will have to contact them again to find out what is going on. The Bushnell Red Dot I received is sitting on my table waiting for my item to arrive so I can send it back. The thing is, the scope is worth more than the hand guard I ordered, so if they want to be butt holes about it, I will just keep it, resell it, and use the money to buy a better hand rail. I don't want to do it that way, but it's up to them. I'm not going to wait much longer.
I wonder if the red dot scope I got was the one you never got? Probably not because it shows the order date on it was also on the 12th. I also ordered some ammo cans from them that should be here Monday or Tuesday. The status still shows processing on them too, but I got confirmation from UPS that they have shipped. If they are incorrect I will not do business with PSA again.
