Anyone put a Muzzle Break on your M&P10?

I just installed a PWS FSC30 on my M&P 10. I haven't tested it out yet, but I've been pretty happy with the same brake on my SCAR 17S, so I expect good results.

Anyone venturous enough to try out a Snakehound "Loudener"?

I just installed one on my compliant heavy barrel

Here is a pic of a Tacticool on mine.

Installed a Precision Reflex Quiet Control Brake on our M&P10. Precision Reflex - Product Detail - 308 MSTN Quiet Control Brake SS Black - $83.00
Very effective at reducing felt recoil and muzzle rise, but also very loud.

Will probably try a Tacticool .308 Muzzle Brake next time, AM-2 Muzzle Brake - Black by Tacticool22
Supposed to be quiter than most brakes, but still give decent recoil reduction and reduced muzzle rise.

As the .308 cartridge is a light kicker anyway, especially in the M&P10, recoil reduction is not as important to me as reduced muzzle rise.

Has any one used a clamp on break I have a NJ compliant model with the thick barrel so it's not threaded. I am interested in the Grizzly the hunter, they offer it in both threaded and clamp on and am going back and forth on getting the barrel threaded...
Thanks
James

I would have it threaded just because, I can!!!! F-dem

Just because you can doesn't mean dick... anyone have a better reason to go threaded. I hear a break can reduce recoil and lift by. 30+%.. Is it worth it to get my barrel threaded? My local gun smith sends rifles out for threading and have to wait for 2 or more people, cost is 65 and losing my rifle for a couple weeks, that's if there's someone else around here who needs their barrel threaded.. I was also thinking about buying a kit and threading it my self, I am an auto tech and very mechanically inclined, I drill tap and die regularly, I also watched a couple tutorials on YouTube, the only thing I'm concerned about is, how far do I thread it, and will the break line up properly when fully seated? Or do I just buy a bolt on which I'm not looking very in favor of..
Thanks James

Had a chance this past weekend to try out my new brake from Tacticool. I am very impressed by the change in recoil. I guess I don't shoot enough because I thought the M&P10 kicked like a mule. After putting on the brake it still kicks but this time I wasn't ready to leave the range when the rest of the guys I was shooting with were.

Anybody tested these on an mp10?

SJC Titan
PWS FCS30
Miculek Comp

I've only shot my M&P 10 once since putting the PWS FCS30 on, but it ran great. It does work, definitely less felt recoil and muzzle rise. It makes for one loud gun, though, but I knew what to expect as I have one on my SCAR 17S where it comes stock.

Tried out the Surfire 762 brake yesterday. Amazing recoil reduction and a bullseye at 100 yards.

I am very happy with the Surefire SOCOM on my Sig 716 and as soon as my M&P 10 gets here it will get one too.
Way less recoil and Way less muzzle climb and it does not negatively impact the rifles accuracy at all.
I don't know what it does to the person beside me as I have my own backyard range so I very seldom have any one shooting beside me.

We'll I put the m11a2 by precision armament an do my the difference. I took a video and will try to get it on you tube and get a link on here. Great break if you want to stop muzzle jump and recoil.

BA BattleComp, AKA Big Azz Battle Comp, waiting on next range day to test it out :D

+1 on the Battlecomp. I put one on my M&P10 after about 100 rounds with the stock one. What a difference. not so terrible for the guy next to you either.

Tacticool22 Muzzle Brake

I just ordered my muzzle brake from Tacticool22. Figured I'd give it a shot. I'll ultimately change it for one that accepts a suppressor like the Silencerco Specwar system but I need one now and these seem great. I'll post photos once installed. Hopefully it is sent USPS Priority which is typically 2 day. Hope to have by weekend. Fingers crossed!

Please let me know how that brake works for you. I'm curious as to how big of a difference it'll make over the stock hunk of metal.
