Anyone tried a Camo job on the MP15-22

I just purchased AlumaHyde 2 from Brownells and a GAP stencil from BullDog Arms I ordered Matte Clear, Matte Black, OD Green and Sand I would appreciate any feedback .

I don't think you can go wrong with aluma-hyde 2 its great stuff
have done a few shotguns and rifles with it .
If I paint mine I will use it also:

I've been playing with the idea of camoing my 15-22 and using Krylon to do it. I was worried about the paint flaking off. Don;t get me wrong, I want it to wear, but not come of in huge flakes like I've seen on other painted plastics.

A guy on M4C painted his with Krylon and it has come out good:

I just made an order of Magpul FG accessories, so will see what it looks like with those, then may return at a later date to paint mine.

Also the krylon ultra flat camo spraypaints are awesome. I camo'd my stock, mags and my barrel shroud with the stuff and no chips yet. I only put 3 or 4 coats on each piece and the stuff dries in like 10 mins on the plastic and only 5 mins on the shroud which is metal. Love it. You can pick a can up at wally world for under 5 bucks

Camo paint job update

I just got it sprayed with the OD Green AlumaHyde today its looking good so far this stuff is going to take awhile to dry. On the can it says it takes a week to get full cure I got a red paint stick that I am going to put in the receiver markings and clear it after its finished will post picks when finished. Going to NRA show this weekend.

I've used the Krylon camo paint for years on synthetic stocks and AR furniture. It works pretty well.
