Went to Bass Pro Shop this AM and bought 200 rounds of the Winchester Super-X 'Super Speed RN' plated round nose ammo that is rated at 1300FPS.

I was wondering if anyone has tried this ammo yet, and what kind of results did you have with it?

Been trying to decide on buying 5000 rounds of CCI plated round nose (#0030), or this Winchester ammo so this test is likely to be the deciding factor. Hopefully I'll get out some time this week for a test run and I'll come back here and post my results.

My M&P 15-22 liked the CCI beter than the Winchester! I was using the Winchester when I lost my extractor on mine! :(

My 15-22 is currently back at Smith & Wesson. When I get mine back I am going to stick with the CCI.

I have these and use them in my 15-22, work great, also have and use CCI minimags and Federal bulk, all work great.

What kind of results are you wanting? Accuracy or just feed and go bang? And from what range?

Results?....Nothing specific.

My main concern is that the weapon cycles without any violent action that may damage the bolt or receiver and still get maximum affect.

I've seen some 22lr ammo that is 1600+ fps but I fear bad things could happen because we have semi-autos and they are not made with that ammo in mind. It would be OK for a bolt action, but I think it could be a problem in our M&P15-22s.

If some has any experience with this hotter ammo please chime in.

Thanks for the input gents!!
