Anyone try the KSDgrips??

KSD grips came through with a great option for the Chiefs Special 40. They arrived today. With about two minutes of fililng to help them pivot into place these grips so far surpass my expectations.

I did work with Mustafa for many months on what I was looking for and what they could offer. His return emails were always next business day and this is the second time I have done business with him. I am hoping some IWB carry wont discolor the grips. Anyone have suggestions if I should coat them in anything? Enjoy,

 
I sent a set of non rail 3913TSW grips to KSD this afternoon. I don't think it will be a major revision to the 3913 grips to make them work.

I'll post an update when I hear back from them.
 
Can anyone who has bought KSD grips tell me what your experience with the shipping has been? I ordered a pair from the KSD Amazon site and that same day received a shipping confirmation with FedEx tracking number. For over a week now the FedEx tracking number has been coming up "not found" and on my Amazon shipping page it says it is on its way and should have been here yesterday.
But I see here that the grips are coming from Turkey so I doubt they'd be here in a week. I am wondering if anyone else here has had this problem?

I had a similar experience with UPS, although not with a set of KSD grips. The first thing I would do is call FedEx and ask them about it. In my case, they had no clue where the package was.

Then I would contact Amazon customer service. In my case, they cancelled the original order and the seller sent another item. It's the seller's responsibility to file a claim with FedEx, not yours. In fact, if they are like UPS, they will tell you exactly that.

Oh, in my case, the lost item showed up a few days later, but neither UPS, Amazon, nor the seller were interested in paying to have me ship it back. It was a cheap item and I don't blame them, but I wonder what the response would be if was something as expensive as a set of grips?

You're welcome. FedEx is an international company, so I would think that the tracking number would originate when it was entered into their system and be updated with each scan.

This is probably a dumb question, but are you 100% sure that you entered the tracking number correctly? That sort of simple thing has messed me up a few times. Which is why I ask.

Yup here's the tracking number. 8091 9032 5024 it is a 12 digit FedEx tracking number but it comes up as not found. And on my Amazon account page it says FedEx carrier and just the original message of "Package has left seller facility and is in transit to carrier" that's it from may 20th.
 
Weird things happen, even with very good tracking systems. Both UPS and FedEx have good tracking technology, but like anything else, it's not perfect.

I expect that KSD will be able to get some sort of action from FedEx.

I have only had one set from KSD - for this Star BM. I couldn't be happier - high quality, perfect fit. I plan to buy more in the future.

I hope so. So far I am not impressed with the customer service from KSD. I asked him to check out my invalid tracking number he replied that FedEx is closed so he can't get an answer. Um FedEx is open 24/7 for customer service. As someone who sells on eBay I find that an unacceptable answer. I haven't heard back from him in a few days now, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and wait to see what his reply is before I put in a refund claim with Amazon.
 
I had similar experience with my tracking # info.....but if I remember correctly it kept coming back with "no current information found"...or verbage to that extent.......I bought mine via the auction site that will go nameless.....but again my memory is a little fuzzy but they showed up about week earlier than the original expected delivery date...easy for me to say to be patient..... but I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from him again
 
Thanks! Problem is the received due date went by last Friday with my tracking number saying not found because it's on its way to FedEx still. I'm hoping that KDS gets back to me today with some sort of information because I haven't received any.
I will say that it hasn't been 22 days like your experience but on reviews I've read people have received their grips in less than a week sometimes. Weird.
Also after reading your KDS link I realized I've read it before, your the reason I ordered mine ha ha, I loved the way they looked on yours, so I ordered a pair for my Ladysmith.
 
Well KSD got back to me today and said the problem with shipping has happened to one other customer at the moment. He said it should be fixed by tomorrow and I should get my grips in 3 days. He also said if by some chance it is not fixed by tomorrow he will ship me out immediately another set PLUS a set of my choosing for free. Pretty good customer service! Well see what happens!
 
KSD grips, I order 2 sets of your grips, after placing order for them I was dropped out, do to a E-bay error. When I tried to reorder it would not let me do so.As there was only one pair of the SW1_1C1S and I had order it before e-bay dropped me, so it showed out of stock. I was able to order a pair for a off brand firearm (CZ75B grip). what can I do to get a set of the SW1-1C1S? you can reply to me at [email protected]

I ordered a nice set of 5906 grips from you about a year ago. I promised I'd tell the S&W members, and I did. Very well made and have no problems here a year later Now I'd like to a few more with near the same pattern (the mock Roper grip triple bump) but your website is not up and hasn't been for awhile.

I see many KSD Grips listed now on the big auction site now, and their company website appears to be up and running.

It has been a few months since I looked at their website, so not sure if it had this info before, but they are showing quite a few dealer partners (in Turkey) and they also include their business' international bank account number, so certainly presents the appearance of a reputable business.

I previously purchased a set of their grips for my S&W and found them to be excellent workmanship, and the proprietor was very responsive to my email inquiries. As far as the tracking numbers, my very limited experience purchasing internationally, only a couple of items, has been that the tracking number is useless until the items gets to the USA, do not think we should find any fault with the seller in that regard, need to look to whoever the shipper is on that end, if not being able to track every day is a problem for anyone.

All in all, my experience with KSD has been very positive and I will hopefully be able to buy from them again.
