Thanks for the public explanation! Very good for all concerned. I am looking forward to receiving the grips and thanks again for posting here for us!

I'm very pleased with the four sets of grips I ordered! They were delivered much faster than I expected even after the Envelope containing them had been opened by U.S. Customs.

Good Wood grips and superb design elements. Going to order more when KSD confirms availability of the models I requested.

It appears that they use the standard pin hole so I'm thinking that they have to be one piece.

the 3rd Gen wrap around grips are one solid piece made from 2 halves seamed FLAWLESSLY in the back. I have a set on my 5906 for almost 1 year now, was wondering if they would split on the seam but they have not.

The install VERY snugly, especially at the rear upper, so take your time installing them.

Very high grade and I'm very happy with them.

This is very good to know, thanks. One other member has mentioned that the pin hole is very tight and he had to sand the pin itself and use light oil to get it to fit without danger of cracking the grips.

What has been your experience with this?

I recently ordered and received a pair of KSD grips form my CS9. The grips are fantastic. I am having a little trouble installing them - very tight. This I think will be a positive in the long run. Quick question for the board: what size grip pin do I need? The factory rubber grip pin appears to be too small. Do I need a 3913 or maybe a double stack 6906? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks…

my perception when I installed the KSD's on my 3913NL was that the grip pin was way too short....It actually wasn't because it held secure but since I had a pin from my long departed 6906 I measured and shortened it and beveled the ends to look like it was done at the mothership.....In a Mr. Obvious moment....make sure you take equal cuts on both ends of the pin;)

I'm interested in these grips for the 5906 but I don't see them available anymore. Do you still offer these? If any member has one they would be to willing sell please let me know. Thanks!

I may be wrong but I think the SW logo grips have become overnight collector items thanks to the mothership.....and I couldn't help but notice that they are the only manufacture that didn't take Mustafa to the copyright infringement woodshed:rolleyes:

I had posted this image of my CS45 in another thread but thought I'd put it here, too, for people browsing these grips. I am really pleased with them and am especially happy to get rid of those Hogues made of flubber that came on the pistol.

I just looked on Amazon-pages of these grips-looks like they have them for everything.

the above mentioned grip for a 5906 that Metasmith was referencing appears to no longer be available...there are a few with the same checkering pattern with a generic SW.....there are a few logo grips at first glance that look like the round S&W crest but the engraving actually says KSD;)..................Guevera..you may have got the last one like that:D

I recommend reaching out to Mustafa direct. He's been really responsive and can make some "custom built" sets if you request them.

I hope what is going on over in Turkey now (7-15) doesn't negatively affect outgoing mail!?!

ONE piece Aliminium..Yes not 2 piece..Smith wesson grips are coming.Thinner than oem grips.Mr hemi don't worry please.

Still interested.
.
Anyone had any contact with this company of late, with all the turmoil going on over there? I see he's no longer listing on eBay (quite a few negatives, may have been suspended???) Website still up. He hasn't posted or replied to anything here (recently).
.
I always thought the weak link of the 3rd Gen guns was the hammer spring being supported by the grip, which being plastic is more susceptible to damage than it would be if metal.

Some of the best grips that I have seen. I have purchased 5 sets of which 2 were custom. Turn around time is anywhere from 7 days to 14 days, I am sure that this will change, as the demand continues to grow. Even the box that they ship in is high quality, I would hope that S&W would farm out some of there grips to them. The grips for the 5906 are made of two pieces that are pined and glue together, they fit great.
Both customs grips were for CZ pistols, they were made just as I had asked. Prices are great, customer service is super. I am going to order a couple more sets shortly.

Metalsmith/nocents, I just received a set for the 5906. The ones that I requested look just like the one that you have picture but I wanted the S&W logo to be A silver insert. Turn around time was 8 days even with the Labor day weekend. Use his direct E-Mail address to contact him. [email protected]

Did ksd stop selling on flea bay? Haven't seen him around lately.

Yes, it appears he got alot of negatives in a short period of time. Either he gave up or got suspended. Might be due to the Turkish government interference with paypal use too. He did not answer an off ebay email I sent him either.
