Anyone try the KSDgrips??

Say, those 4506 grips don't fit a 457, do they? I can't remember what the corresponding model was to the 457.

In any event, this is an intriguing development and I would certainly buy a set for a 3913 or 3914 or a 457 for that matter.

Nice stuff.

More photos, more photos, more photos.

if you click KSD's photos it will link you to his Photobucket account where there are more pics.....I just hope he has all the legal mumbo-jumbo taken care of to reproduce all the factory logos (S&W, Browning,Beretta,F&N, etc......)because the look of his grips is outstanding;)

Please, let us all pray that the "legal mumbo-jumbo" doesn't get in the way of importing these amazing looking grips. :D

But like others, I'd still like to know how the 3rd Gen grips are constructed and how they fit onto the gun? Use of the stock pin implies one piece but one post above says they are two-piece. Which is correct?

it is two piece. One of the piece has two steel pin 10mm long,3mm wide and we use special strong glue. This is how we make it one piece. There is a special section in grip. This part takes the stress from recoil.Break it.I'll send you new one or if it is not tight on firearm ill send you new one.

Just to confirm (sorry, I am old and dense)... Are you saying that you make it in two pieces but it will be delivered to us as one (already glued together) wrap-around piece?

Can you show us more pictures showing the interior, of both the left and right sides of the two grips?

I think this would answer the installation and removal questions. These are easily installed and easily removed?

You can click on the OP's photo in post #44 and it will take you to his Photobucket album and there are lots of photos. If you click through them you'll find a photo of the interior of the grips - I don't they they are S&W grips, though. It appears that there are a couple of steel pins inside, but I'm not sure what holds everything together.

There are some beautiful stocks pictured and I'm anxious to get a few more answers.
* How are they installed?
* What kind of finish? Varnish? Or much better, wax?
* What options exist for customizing the grips?

There are more photos on fleabay that really got my attention. While I can do without the death's head decoration, there are some solid sterling silver grips for a BHP that will knock your eyes out.

They don't seem to answer the question of how the 3rd Gen grips are constructed so that they can be installed.

That aside, these look very nice and if they do make them for the 3913 at some point, I'll probably order a set.

They'd look good on my 3913 9Tactical.

OP - there doesn't seem to be any limit to what you can do with these grips. FWIW, the patents have expired on putting a laser in handgun grips. Laser diodes are about $4. Just say'n .... <hint, hint>

Put me down for a pair for a 908 (3913) or 457 (4513/4516).

I am very much looking forward to seeing what their CS9 grips are like.

I ordered some and would be happy to post some up close pics when they arrive. Although, I did not buy any that mimicked the factory plastic grips just the "rosewood" aftermarket style.

Did you get yours yet? I'm still waiting on mine. Can't wait to see how these turn out. I'll post mine as soon as they come in.

Everyone seems to be dancing around the fact that S&W 3rd Gen one-piece wrap-around grips need some degree of flexibility to install and remove. So how is this achieved in wood? Is there some alternative interior design? And, if so, will the grips still attach tightly & securely without any movement in use?

If KSD would post pictures of the left and right side grip interiors, I think we could figure out how they install and are removed. Still waiting for pictures. ;)
