There are some that like those kits but for me its a waist of money You can find videos at you tube to help you decide . Not sure what I would do with one if it was free .

I have a dedicated 9mm carbine which shares magazines with my 9mm compact pistol. I even went so far as to pick up a couple 33-round stick mags for the carbine. With this setup, I can "own" anything within 50 yards should society have a total meltdown.
Update / addition - the carbine sports a Sig Romeo 5 red dot on a riser .. this way I have a choice of 2 sighting systems, the red dot as primary, and the factory "irons" as backup should the red dot fail.

IMO, "ownership" requires a rifle caliber carbine.:)

Thanks this is the feedback I was looking for ! I know it is useless for defense but may be fun to punch paper with lol..
I will read that link and do more research on it

Thanks a bunch for your time :)

I have a dedicated PCC in 9mm set up exactly like my 5.56 and 6.8 carbines. It gives me the option of running short range drills on our pistol steel and introducing new shooters to the AR platform in a 'make it fun' manner.

I have shot some of the 'pistol conversion' units brought to our range by others. The dedicated PCC makes more sense to me and many models are now available that use popular pistol magazines.

If you decide to get one please share a range report.

if you can't shoot your pistol well.. practice more or just get an actual purpose built carbine... they look hollywood cool.. but if you want a SBR.. just fill out the paperwork write the check and do it...

I also have a PC 9 in the plans :) and a .357 Lever rifle :)

That kit has NOTHING to do with my shooting skills as they are fine ! Ask the fly that lost his nuts lol
It is just something to be different and play with :)
As i stated before it is not really useful for anything but punching paper ! and IMO a cool add on :)

They:

1. Cost a lot
2. Make your handgun much larger.
3. Reduce the accuracy of the handgun.
4. Look cool.

Your choice.

1:Most toys do $250 +or- not too bad for a toy
2:Well yea ! Will not be a carry gun !
3: Not looking to compete in any type of match
4:Yes Has cool factor
5: My choice to have cool gun and the rest does not matter lol It is just for shooting fun

And everyone Thank You for you opinions that is what I wanted, Pros and Cons. But my interest may change my next visit to the Gun shop lol As I am also looking at revolvers !to add to the collection

I have one for my SIG 320. Neat accessory. I don't use it for HD, only for fun range sessions. I can see if someone lives in a restrictive state, this may present options not available.

My report on it is here:
CAA MCK? | SIG Talk

They are very popular at the local gun shows these days, but it's a brace, & in 3 weeks may be illegal. Anyone who plans to buy one should wait the 3 weeks to see which way the ATF rules. GARY.

I've got a couple of the Recover Tactical braces. They work fairly well (really need tall sights or a red dot to shoot them comfortably), and are a lot less bulky and significantly cheaper.
