I don't need one.......yet. But my neuropathy and RA are getting increasingly worse.
I had a cable guy out to work on my TIVO. He asked me about my cane so I told him about my condition. He says that he can get me a motorized scooter for cheap. So I says go for it. He calls his mom and asks is it still in the garage. Yep! How much ya want for it. $60.00!!!! Yeah but you'll need new batteries, otherwise it's like new. And indeed it is like new. It's a Shoprider Jimmie. Sells for $1395.00 on Amazon.
I just ordered a set of batteries for it for $52.00.
Can't believe my luck!!

My only caution to you would be to not use it till you absolutely have to. My therapists in the hospital always told me that once you get on one, you'll never get off of it. You know whats best.

I already thought of that and plan not to use it until necessary.
I was excited about such a deal. Not quite as good as finding a nice Registered Magnum for $50.00, but still quite a deal.

ronj- that is probably my next move too. cane everyday, crutches on the bad days. sounds like I have some of the same issues as you do.

My gun show partner is really in bad shape and uses one at gun shows; we field srip it and pack it in the car trunk. I use it occasionally; usually on Sundays when it hurts to sit down or stand up behind the table. The rest of the time, I charge the battery once a week. Seems to be working OK so far. We paid $400 for it used.
