Interested to know if anyone has used the Techna Clip with the shield for pocket carry. What's your favorite shield holsters.

I've eyeballed them at my LGS and wondered the same thing. My first shot at a holster for my Shield was an Alien Gear IWB (forget what they call it though) and I stuck with it. I often try to remember if it put if on while setting at my desk, because it's so comfortable. I wear it at about 3:30 and don't notice it while driving either. It is the most comfortable gun/holster combination I have worn in over 20 years of EDC.

In the waistband, which I rarely do anymore, I like my Whitehat MaxTuck.

Outside the waistband, I like my Galco Stinger!

I am not a fan of any holding device that doesn't have a way to cover the trigger. The Shield is so easy to conceal with just a light cover shirt that I find OWB is as good as it gets. This is a Wright Leather Works "Predator"

There are TONS of excellent holsters for the Shield. I do not have a techna clip (I too want something that covers the trigger and is solid), but I love my FOXX holsters and N82 Tactical. N82 is SUPER comfortable. FOXX is a little more traditional, slimmer, and still pretty comfortable. They both have "trial" periods and excellent warranties - both of which are important. YMMV.

For a pocket holster, I use a DeSantis Nemesis. It's reasonably priced and comfortable. It holds the Shield securely, with the trigger covered, and, if you are in a state where "printing" is not allowed, it disguises the shape of the gun. When you draw the Shield, the Nemesis stays put. Best of all, it also works perfectly with my M&P 40 compact, so I only need one holster for two different S&Ws.

I have a Sticky pocket holster for my Bodyguard and a DeSantis Nemesis for my 9 Shield. I like the DeSantis the best. For IWB I have a Alien Gear and a N82. I just can't seam to get them to ride right where can get a good grip drawing and also re holstering. They are comfortable but the pads seam just a little to wide. For the Alien gear I been just buying the shells for my other guns.

The best OWB, paddle holster I have found is Wild Bill's Concealment fusion paddle. I used it when I was working to carry my Glock 23 and now that I am retired I used it with my Shield. Comfortable. Easy on and off. You can adjust the cant and it has high quality leather. Many other paddle holsters have paddles that are too big and uncomfortable.

I have recommended to lots of other folks.

I'm not a fan of the pocket clips for concealed carry. Like others have said, there is no guard for the trigger. As far as holsters go, the incog from g code is one of the best holsters on the market. Here is a pic of the same holster in two different configurations. They are extremely well made, and versatile. The only downside is they are individually handmade, and take about 8 weeks to get delivered. They are definitely worth the wait though.

I tried a clip on my shield, not the same one you name here, but similar. Just not my cup of tea. It held ok, but I wasn't crazy about the gun riding along my near bare hip/buttocks. I figure long term that won't be great on the finish. Not that it was a huge consideration. If you use and carry one every day, it will show it sooner or later.

The thing that bugged me the most about it, and had me take the thing off and toss in a drawer, was that it interfered with my getting a good grip on the slide for loading/reloading the weapon.

I reach over the top with my weak hand to operate the slide like shown in the pic. Not to start a debate over this method or slingshot. It's what I trained and what I know.

It got in the way, so I ditched it. YMMV

IWB and OWB

For IWB I carry the Shield 9mm in an AlienGear Cloak Tuck 2.0 and for OWB I use a D.M. Bullard Leather cross-draw. I a fine bit of leather work.

Since this has turned into a holster thread,(sorry OP), gotta say I kinda like the looks of Wild Bill's gear. Wild Bill's Concealment | The Professional's Choice

I am not a fan of drilling holes in my slide. I use the Allien Gear Tuck 3 that I got for my SD9VE fits good in the Waist.

My 2 cents which with inflation is worth 1/2 cent:rolleyes:
I want a Holster with a firm and adjustable grip. My Jel Tech and Alien Gear have that ! I also agree that a covered trigger is a safer holster! I am not a fan of pocket carry!
My Jel Tech IWB Kydex is around 25$ I have purchased 8 so far for family and friends

and my Alien Gear IWB and OWB Kydex/Leather are also nice , They have a good 2 fer deal as well around 60/70 $

Another Texas guy that likes the DeSantis pocket holster pictured above. With shorts it is amazing. Or pants with large pockets, like quickdry convertable pants.

For jeans I use the alien gear IWB. Both are great, and I'm thinking about getting an outside the waistband leather holster to increase my options.
