Wondering if anyone has once of the apex red aluminum flat faced triggers on an m&p 2.0? Reason I ask is I’ve had several of the black ones, then I saw the fde one on both apex’s and brownells sites and both showed a matte dark fde/coyote color so I order and to my surprise what I received was a shiny light yellowish gold color…

I called apex thinking since I bought from an online retailer and not apex directly I might have gotten some odd color variation and was told that he would go in the Bach and look at the ones in stock and see if they were as pictured on their and brownells or what I sent him a picture of.

He called back a little later and said that yes all the ones they had in stock were the same and that the last batch ended up being that color and they have issues with coloring of fde in the anodizing process.

I purchased one of the new red polymer flat faced kits for a 4.0 10 mm and its as pictured, but the issue I have with the polymer trigger is the pebble type of finish (at least on the one I received) drags on the sides of the opening of the frame creating a gritty type of feel to the trigger. Thus I’m buying an aluminum one for the 4.6 10mm I picked up a few weeks ago.

My fear based on the fde experience is I’m end up with a shiny pink one lol…..I tried googling pictures and it’s all just marketing pics not actually purchased ones …. any first have experience would be much appreciated

I Have the red alum one on my shield 1.0 and the black alum one on my 2.0 compact. Both work flawless and the red is a true red if you ask me.

Couldn't you take fine grit sandpaper and sand down the side of the trigger where it contacts the frame, getting rid of the conflict?

That’s what I thought about trying next time I’m home… I’ll report back if it’s successful. I ended up just buying the aluminum one for the 4.6 10mm
