Apex Tactical Spring Kit for the SD

I finally installed one of the two SD spring kits I ordered (I was the OP for this thread!). I now have one SD that is fully modified and the other that has only the Apex striker spring (lazy - I know - the trigger return spring will go in soon).

I'll be at the range tomorrow night, shooting a variety of 40 S&W rounds, including Speer factory and handloaded with CCI and Federal primers. My only concern is primer strikes with the lighter striker spring -- proof of concept tomorrow night!

Yes, I would like to hear from another reloader how there reload fair, I was experiencing to many light strikes.

Grease vs Felt

I just got my sd9 spring kit in the mail today and I'm planning on installing it and heading to the range tomorrow. I'll probably use grease in the trigger return spring for the time being, however I've read that it tends to accumulate debris over time and make things feel a little gritty. So I was wondering if I could trim down/ replace the felt that lined the original spring for use with the new one. (I'm assumng the felt was there to absorb shock and it seems like replacing it would be a more permanent solution than using grease). This is only my second gun and it will be my first time breaking a gun down farther than is neccessary for cleaning, so any thoughts/ information would be appreciated. I can't wait to get it out on the range tomorrow!

Got it in.

I installed the kit today, it was a piece of cake (except for removing the trigger pivot pin the first time, that took as long as everything else combined) and i finished it in just over half an hour. I accidentaly bought red lithium grease instead of white so I'll forgo the grease today at the range and look into grease/felt for next time.
I shoot all factory loads so I won't be able to comment on reloaded primer issues but I'll be sure to post if there's any trouble with what I do shoot.
Off to the range!

As it's getting nicer out and I'm shooting a little more I wanted to hear word about a possible trigger for the SD from Apex. I emailed them and here is their response:

The new Triggers that will be coming out will be intended for our M&P AEK kit line up will could be out within the next 2 few weeks to few months.
Any kind of SD triggers are a ways out we cant confirm any kind of details or time frames on it at this time.

Which sounds code to me meaning they were put on the back burner and they may not get resurrected. *Sigh*
