APW Cogan

Anyone ever use them for a refinish? I know Fords is the choice of many here but I've heard good things about Cogan.
Thoughts ?

Some people think Ford's is the best all around refinisher, some think APW/Cogan is.
In either case, as far as doing great work in most any type of finish, these two are probably the best in business.

When you start discussing single finishes like bluing, then people like Turnbull's and Glenrock enter the discussion.
If it's hard chrome still others are up there.

Wound up sending two guns to S&W for re-blue but gave strong condiseration to both Fords and Cogan. Corresponded by email and talked on phone with both, they are very accessible and willing to discuss matters with you, feedback from others is very positive on both, but for me having S&W do it for essentially the same price seemed the way to go.

I've used APW Cogan to put a satin nickel finish on a Colt Detective Special several years ago. they did an excellent job, and were very helpful on the phone.

I use Bob for Hard Chrome. He is the best at that
