AR 15 & 15-22?

How many of you have both a standard AR (any model) and a 15-22?

Thinking about several different adds to the safe, and am leaning towards a 15-22 to give flexibility to our range time.

I just recently purchased an M&P15 and I love it so much I'm probably gonna add a 15-22 to the collection in the near future as well.

I think you will find most of us either already had an AR or had plans on purchasing an AR when we bought our 15-22's.

They do make great training rifles and are just plain fun to shoot!

I found it all to easy to buy/ build an AR15 when a different configuration is desired, consequently 7 AR's, DPMS L-10, two m&p 15-22 Magpul and who knows what the future holds? It is a sickness

Just got my 15-22 yesterday........got to the range......put down about 200 rounds (that's all the time I had) ........such a fun gun !!!

Got my M&P 15 about six weeks ago and turned around and bought a 15-22 about three weeks ago. I'm hooked! Love to shoot both but the .22 is going to get used more for obvious reasons.

I had a plain Jane Colt R6600 and a DPMS based target rifle for years before I picked up my 15-22.

My 15-22 is basically a cheap replacement to my 5.56 and .300 AAC. It allows me to cheaply shoot and train with the AR platform. Helps keep up with the basics fundamentals.

I have other .22s that are a lot more fun to shoot. But they dont allow me to keep up with the AR platform and techniques. The 15-22 is fun to shoot. But no where near as fun as some of my old 22s.

I got the 15x first. Had other .22 semi auto rifles, but after getting into the AR platform a 15-22 just made sense.

haha! Same here, I just paid for a M&P 15 22 MOE on Friday and should arrive this coming wends. In January I will finally get the M&P 15T to go along with it And last week I went to my local gun store and got the M&P 22 Pistol, dint want the 15-22 moe to get lonely so I got the pistol too

I'm working on something similar, but probably won't happen until next summer, going to get a m&p22 to go along with my m&p 9's.

the 15-22 IS fun, but not as fun as the 15x. If ammo were the same cost, could anyone claim they would want to shoot their 15-22 over their AR15?

I cant wait to shoot the M&P 22 pistol and cant wait to shoot the M&P 15 22 MOE when it comes in, but sadly with the shortage of officers its going to be sometime before I get a day off, right now is work-eat-sleep and repeat...no complaints though, if it weren't for all the over time I would not have been able to make the purchases.

Bought the MOE FDE 5.56 several years ago and had to have the 15-22. Bought the MOE BLack 15-22 for cheap fun plinking.

I shoot the 15-22 more than my AR's simply because my basement range will only take rimfires but it gets me juiced to go out in the country to kill a rock or can with the AR's. In winter the basement is often the only outlet but way short in the distance department. Love both of them Ar & Mp15-22.
