Could an AR15 Hammer be used in a 15-22? Are they exactly the same?

Dont know why everyone is steering clear of this question?
I dont know a whole lot about triggers but I can tell you that I bought I trigger kit for an AR and it fit my 15-22 nicely.
So, Im guessing that if you wanted to just replace the hammer it self, then yes it would fit.

I don't know if the basic 15-22 has a mil-spec hammer dimensionally but the entire trigger group can be swapped out for any AR trigger than uses a .154" trigger pin size. If you want it really locked down and also to reduce wear you can mount the trigger with a set of AR15-22 special KNS non-rotating trigger pins. I think the 15-22 pins, which are longer because the S&W receiver is thicker than a stock AR, are only available in the KNS Gen 2 Mod 2 pin version..

I put a Timney in mine and had to use anti-walk pins because the set screws on the trigger group were flexing the poly. I used a set of JP anti-walks from a standard AR and they worked just fine. Won't catch as many threads, but works fine. About 4k through it and no issues.

I put the G 3 gun trigger in mine about 1 k rounds ago.
Thats a nice trigger!

If you are installing the Timney only use the 4.5lb spring as the 3 or 4 may result in light strikes, also ask for the plate for composite lowers, it is a thin steel plate that goes under the trigger.

I went with the 3 lb for the slidefire, got lucky as I haven't had any light strikes, but that's good info. I really wish I would've been told about the plate as well, I almost muffed up my lower pretty bad. The screws didn't seem like they were getting that tight, and the trigger was still moving around so I was going a little tighter when I accidentally dropped my tiny Allen wrench. Good thing, because I set my gun down, reached down and grabbed the wrench, and when I was standing back up I noticed this...

could you put a gieselle trigger in it ?
I have an S3G in one and an RRA NM in the other. you can also drop in modular triggers like the Timney, CNC, and, Wilson Combat. I also installed the special 15-22 version of the KNS non-rotating locking trigger pins.

I did the same. You need to take it out and install some metal shims under the set screws.

I just backed them out and went with the anti-walk pins, easier to remove in my opinion as well. I had a hell of a time moving the spring leg out of the way to get my Allen down to the set screw. Since I went to the anti-walks, I just won't be touching those evil little set screws anymore

where can I gt these pins ?I have a enhanced spikes trigger that I could put in it.

will my kns pins work?

I don't know about everyone else, but I got a set that came with a JP trigger and they worked just fine. It was a sealed package and the packaging didn't say anything about 15-22. I'm guessing they weren't the 15-22 KNS ones, but still work fine. They dont catch as many threads, but haven't came loose over a few thousand rds.
