All.
A lot of Arizona was mined for copper way back when. Tailings piles are all over the country. There are interesting places with pretty rocks. Some are blue. Most rock hounds and geologists use a rock hammer in a picture to show size perspective. I thought I would use something you are all a little more familiar with. Some old used Smith and Wesson.

Bill,

Great looking picture! The rock looks like Turquoise. Looks like you've shot your 25-5 some. Any pet loads you'd like to recommend?

Smooth targets on a 45 Colt, 4 inch Smith with some wear on a rock from a guy in AZ!?!

The only way you could get more western than that is if John Wayne picked it up and put it in a holster.

Cool pic, thanks for posting!

The rock is chrysocolla. It is can be cut into slabs and jewelry is made out of it by lapidaryists. As an amateur rock hound and S&W enthusiast, that is an excellent photo!! Thanks for sharing. :)

I prefer Bisbee Blue as a backdrop! The copper in the rock really makes the S&W blueing "pop".
