Arkansas CCW list published in Ark Times

Hey, I've always heard that Moose spaghetti was really good stuff.

It's not bad at the Knights of Colombus either....Elks' sucks but they have a good fish fry.

Thirtyaces,

According to the Demizet, they do own the Arkansas Times.

Best wishes,
Rushbeau

The Ar. House of Represenatives have passed the law out of the the House and its now up to the Senate to vote on it. Hopefuly it will be a Felony or at least a good fine to publish the list in Ar.

They former sheriff in the county I live in done the same thing a few years ago. When I got my ccw I applied in the next county over.

I feel sorry for the scared women tonight who are being stalked and have been living in hiding from their angry ex's.

To protect themselves legally, they got their CCW . . . and now the stalker knows right where to find 'em.

T'ain't right . . . and no GOOD benefit to anyone comes from publishing this list.

IF one of the ladies get's waxed, I hope their family sues "Mad Max" personally, as well as the paper for as many millions as the nastiest lawyer in America can win for them.

T.

Have newspapers ever listed all the felons in a state not currently in prison? If they truely wanted the public to know where danger lives it seems that would be a better list to publish first. Something tells me the media would find that idea repulsive.

Thunking like that is why we gun owners are always on the defensive. Let's go on the offensive for a change, shall we?

Good call Wyatt Earp!!!! In Southern Oregon, a teacher was trying to get permission to carry her pistol on school grounds with her Concealed Permit. She felt very threatened by an ex-spouse, against whom she had a restraining order. The judge ruled against her, but it's being appealed. A few months later, the papers wanted to publish names and addresses of all CCW holders. Fortunately most Sheriff's departments wanted to "hold the horses", so they sent out survey forms to all CCW holders so we could express our thoughts on the issue. I believe our sheriff's will come down on the side of CCW holders, but if not, we WILL go on the offense.
I have to agree on this with beemerrider and wyatt it's about time we went on the ofensive. Also these peoples info. is also public record and there is no reason why we shouldn't take advantage of it and let people know where we stand.

On another point there are people like women that have been stalked and attacked and or raped that have the right to their privacy who also legally carry and why should their privacy be violated just so some news reporter can get a by-line at their expense.

Is there not restraints that can be used against the media or can they just do whatever they please in the name of free speech?
