Heard on the radio last night that long time radio host, Art Bell had passed away.
His program "Coast to Coast AM" probably had the biggest listening audience on late night radio and was dedicated toward the weird, paranormal, aliens and flying saucers, conspiracies and other different subjects, I listened for years.
RIP Art, now you know all the answers.

Passed away??? Or is there a little more to the story...

I don't know the answer to that---but, I do like your matching hats, did you and kitty listen together? Seeing your reply, I just realized that I seem to have misplaced my tin foil hat, it is a bit uncomfortable to sleep in, but hey, a guy can't be too careful.

When I worked nights I listened to his show Coast to Coast. He helped keep me awake and his show was always a little over the top.

When we were looking for a place to retire we spent time in Pahrump looking at property. We looked at a house that was down the road from from a house that had antennas, satellite dishes everywhere and numerous solar panels. Turns out is was Art's house. He was a one of a kind guy...

Radio host Art Bell passes away at 72 - FOX5 Vegas - KVVU

I had the opportunity to listen to his radio show when I was driving home from work late nights. It was interesting most nights. I heard George Nory talking about having heard someone had passed away, but wouldn’t say who without confirmation first. As most of you probably know, he took over the show when Art retired. And yes, I was working last night, plowing snow in a full blown raging blizzard. When I could see that is.

When Art was on the air I listened to his show all the time, even though it was in the early AM on the East Coast.

He had a crush on Crystal Gayle, she even recorded a record dedicated to him.

RIP MR. Bell

RIP Art Bell.

I used to listen to Art when I worked the night shift but It was much more entertaining to listen to Phil Hendrie when he played Art Bell and the General Johnson Jameson character. I never laughed so much in my life.

Gee , as an all night radio Junkie Art was one of the best --- Dating myself but the true Genius of all night radio was LONG JOHN NEBEL ---out of NYC --- WOR Still addicted to overnight radio - Coast to Coast -- Red Eye ( used to be a big listener to Americas Trucking on 700 out of Ohio , but it has really become a INFO Commercial ---- Live Radio overnight holds many aspects that regular radio missed I have heard many times actual reports when the major networks are sleeping and just running the regular news
I am east coast But Ground Zero radio out of Portland Starts here at ten and is live to 2 am They have been on the forefront of many breaking issues

I was introduced to Art Bell's radio program by my grandfather, who listened to him while working the dog shift. Some of my finest memories are nights on a camping or fishing trip listening to Art Bell around a campfire. God bless Mr. Bell, he will always be missed.

Over the years, George Noory has done a decent job at Coast to Coast, but it is not quite the same. He had a good show Friday night/Saturday morning; many of his callers were friends and fans of Art Bell sharing their memories.
