As the Holidays approach, which charities do you give to?

Around the holidays, Salvation Army, Toys for Tots, and the local food bank. Rest of the year, St. Jude's, and the Texas Lion's Camp for Children in Kerrville.

My family and I "adopt" between 20-30 local foster kids who do not typically get gifts this season. I have 5 kids of my own, and we make a family event out of it where we all shop, the kids wrap, and we all deliver to the agreed point. It has to be anonymous for me to give, and I have to know 100% of what I am giving actually makes it to the person who needs it. I am not good with trusting others to "do the right thing" with my money. May sound greedy, but if a person needs a dollar .25 is not going to make a difference.

The Salvation Army was always my family's favorite. My church has an Angel Tree plus a food bank.

I have two groups I help support, local food bank and Remote Area medical, both do lots of good for so many. I only wish I could give more $$ than I do.
