AT BAKING, I AM A ONE TRICK PONY

I normally really dislike doing anything but making Cocktails at the bar in the kitchen. Although my wife does truly enjoy my Omelets - they are good. That however is about the extend of my kitchen expertise. I have no patience for cooking/baking and especially for cleaning up!

The one and only thing I know how to bake is a spectacular Cheesecake - and we are Cheesecake fanatics! I have to say I have been told by many that this is the best Cheesecake they have ever tasted - I must agree. Now I am not bragging here - I did not invent the recipe, just saying!

Years ago I was in my friends home one day just after he got divorced. He's a commercial airline pilot so he keeps virtually nothing in his refrigerator except water, butter and a ketchup - lol! Anyway I was starving and so he asked me if I like Cheesecake - my response was who doesn't?! Anyway after tasting it and raving about it, I asked him where he bought it. He told me he made it - I just couldn't believe it! He told me to pick up all the ingredients on his list and come over tomorrow - he said he will show me how he does it. Well I did and he did - the rest is history!

Tonight we are having a small party for my best friend's 69th Birthday and this will serve as the B-D cake. This is the first time in over two years I made one - let's hope it came out great.

I do six types of creme brulee from whip cream, to pet milk to eggnog.
The pet milk is a Lite calorie concoction for the ladies watching their weight.

Will it get a topping of red cherry & gel sauce ?

Everyone likes this topping, that topping or no topping so we'll serve it as is and there will be a platter of fresh whipped cream, strawberries and blueberries. They can eat it the way they like it.

My wife and I prefer whatever fruit on top to be fresh - not baked in. I baked blueberries in once and did not like it much. Something about warm fruit turns me off.
 
My Wife loves cheesecake. It's a little to "rich" for me
Every so often I make one for her and friends crust and all.
It is genuine secret recipe from my cousin in New York:D
When making it, you realize just how unhealthy it is!!:eek::)I need to make one in a Heart shaped pan!

YUP! Genuine Cheesecake will never get high marks from the American Heart Assn. - lol. That said I'd rather eat something great once or twice a year than have gross, fat free, sugar free, gluten free tasteless substance every week.
