At least our rotten pumpkins are good for something!

Sadly like 80% of our pumpkin crop this year are becoming prematurely rotten (the stems are rotten, and then one side will be mushy). Took 'em to the range and let my bolt guns and air rifle play with them. Wadcutter pellets will go right in, and 7.62x54R and 7.62x51 NATO will both leave nice holes and occasionally completely rip one apart. :D

At least they don't go to waste, eh? And I don't have to wait until after Halloween this way (when I'll have a fresh batch of them to set out)!

Interesting. Nothing seems to eat our pumpkins... Will be curious if the carcasses left out at the range will "disappear"...
