Just spent 2 hours editing sorting and uploading all my pics from the trip to the Bahamas. I'm about to go cross-eyed from computer driven aggravation So I'll just send you a little "teaser" of one of the pics. This is me and my grandson Steven and my granddaughter Becky in the pool where we interact with the sea lion (they are very cool by the way) Lot of professional pics were take of our adventures and We will be getting them at Robyn's convenience. This one was a print she bought and gave to us. I'll send the pics I took when I send the tell of the trip.

Here's you a blond joke to tide you over...

A blonde, wanting to earn some cash, decided to hire herself out as a handyman type. and started canvassing a wealthy neighborhood.

She went to the front door of the first house and asked the owner if he had any jobs she might do.

"Well, you can paint my porch. How much will you charge?"

The blonde said "How about 50 bucks?"

The man agreed and told her the paint and other materials she might need were in the garage.

The man's wife, inside the house, heard the conversation and said to her husband "Does she realize that the porch goes all the way around the house?"

The man replied "She should, she was standing on it."

A short time later, the blonde came to the door to collect her money. "You're finished already?" he asked.

"Yes" the blonde answered, "And I had paint left over, so I gave it two coats."

Impressed, the man reached in his pocket for the $50.

"And by the way," the blonde added, " It's not a Porch, it's a Ferrari".

It is good to see what you look like. Hope you had a great time.

We got in to the airport at Nassau in the Bahamas about noon on Thursday. Got checked in and settled about 1PM. We had one activity scheduled for that day and it was interaction with the sea lions. Just can't describe how awesome it feels to touch hold and be with these lovable creatures. Friday Miss Pam and I got our first massages.

There are no words to describe this experience. The building is enormous and there are water falls and pools with fish in them all over the place. Every where you look there are exotic (living) plants. The combination of wood and stone and marble are gorgeous! The pics with the sea lions and dolphins were professionally taken and we'll be getting them eventually.

We were sent to our respective dressing rooms (even they were decorated with unimaginable beauty.) We peeled down to our undies and put on the luxurious robes provided and met in the upstairs Waiting room. Coffee, soft drinks, snack and water etc were served until it was out turn. Two lovely Island girls came and took us and took us to our room. The lighting was subdued and there was a faint sounds of flute music that seemed to be coming from every where. Not the Celtic kind rather just tones like in the old tv show about Qui Chang Cain called Kung Fu. the room was rife with fragrant aromas from all the exotic plants and flowers that lined the walls.

Pam was escorted to her table and I to mine. We disrobed and lay on our stomachs and put our faces in a very softly cushioned and tissue lined little frame so we were only able to see the floor. I had the Swedish massage and I don't know what Pam had.

I felt a warm oil being poured on my back and then soft and gentle but firm hands began to rub. Fingers kneading every individual muscle. Long slow even pressure strokes and occasional palm pressure in the small of my back. My skin began to tingle and I was afraid I was going to fall asleep and miss the whole thing.

Then I felt the sheet that had covered me be replaced on my back and there was a blast of cool air as my right leg was exposed. The same treatment as the back: warm oil, fingers working each muscle on the back of the leg and then a real treat...she started on my foot. Ooooooo!

Then that leg was re covered and she did the left leg and foot. More Ooooo.

Then she covered that leg and uncovered my right arm. Same treatment as the rest and the hand massage was my favorite. My arthritis seem to melt away like butter on a hot plate. When she finished the right arm she did the left arm and hand.

Then she rolled me over on my back and placed a warm towel over my eyes and did my noggin (too good!). Then the biceps and hands a little bit more and shoulders. Then she re covered the arms and uncovered the left leg and gave the quadricep a VERY good and long work out. Also a little more on the foot. Then she covered that up and did the right leg and foot.

I could definitely get used to that. All the stress and tension I had accumulated for the last two days was gone. My sin tingles all over and all my muscles felt warm.

We then met back in the common room and sat around in our robes drinking aromatic tea and chatted with others that had just finished or were waiting their turn. After a bit we went to our respective locker rooms and put on our clothes and met at the check-in desk and went to lunch.

The Food: There were at least 4 restaurants in the complex. Plus a Starbucks and numerous snack shacks and burger stands. No matter where you ate it was a whole new level of fancy, eye catch, elegant, delicious and btw expensive.

The Complex consisted of four more hotels most of which are similar to the one in these pics (that was ours, The Cove). The dolphins and sea lions are both housed in the Dolphin Cay. There is a LONG river over a ruin that we snorkeled that had stingrays, fishes of all sizes colors and shapes and sharks. there is another "river" that has some rapids and goes through caves and jungles and rocks that you can ride on a tube You can see it in some places in the pics as it winds it's way through the complex. I rode the tube thing many times it was a real hoot.

On Friday we "swam with the dolphins. They didn't seem to be as well trained as the sea lions and but they were a hoot and it was neat to inter act with them. Then we had the massage.

Saturday was the day we snorkeled the ruin with all the critters. I was a little tense at first but we were assure we were in no danger and apparently we were safe the whole time.

I have a few more pics and I'll comment in them in their posts...

The Pics
1 the view from our balcony on the 20th floor
2 our hotel (only one of 5 in the complex
3, 4, and 5 are shots of just a few of the beautiful streams that wind all through the complex

To be continued...

Jack, thanks for the start of your report. I hate to ask, but as I'm thinking about the same trip next year, is the resort all-inclusive such as the old Club Med was? Or is everything pay as you go?

Thanks,

Fred

Fred My son-in-law paid for everything so I'm not sure but I believe that all the charges in the complex went to the hotel room which was paid at chedkk out time and everything was extra. Nothing was included. It was however very very VERY expensive. The dinner Pam and I had Thursday night was about 200 bux. The dolphin interaction and the sea lion interaction were about 250 bucks each per person.

Bottom line is it is not and all inclusive.
