Boy oh boy that's the truth. There are places in upstate NY that are wilderness and being armed is, in my opinion, a necessity. Unfortunately, Albany doesn't agree.

NYS is sort of unique in that it has an 8,000,000+ count(more if you include the immediate surrounding counties) cancer cell attached to it.

I ve seen a lot of comment;s on this and other forums about come and take our guns from the law abiding public.

My question is who are the people that will come? Is it the local,state or federal police?

I was looking on Youtube and I hope that they don't send Delta Force, because they look like someone I wouldn't like to have a disagreement with.

From all of the Special Forces and Rangers I see talking on the news and posting videos on youtube, I think they wouldn't enforce a gun confiscation. Also it is against the law to use the military to enforce domestic law. Look up the Posse Comitatus Act. However, it does not apply to the National Guard in their home states or if they are invited to enforce the law by governors from other states.

From all of the guardsmen I know or have met, I doubt they would enforce such a ban. Most guardsmen joined because they either wanted the benefits of being in the guard (free college, extra pay every month, etc.) and/or because they want to serve their communities.

Your biggest concerns would be from local, state, and federal LEOs. I will say there are a lot of local LE departments who have all ready stated they would not enforce firearm bans. There are also a lot of officers who stated they would not follow such orders if they were given.

.....however, now I am venturing into tinfoil hat territory, but I hope some of the information I posted helped.
