In an online auction that ended this week there were lots of primers. And with the coming of somewhat lower prices I expected mediocre prices. I was amazed to see a couple thousand LR Primers sell for 250 dollars plus 10%. All other primers sold for last years prices except for small pistol. I got 798 WSPPs for 25 dollars + 10%. LPPs sold for approx 90 bucks. I truly expected primers to go for less in this auction...I guess some are still buying at panic prices just cause they see them. I didn't buy much in the auction...although I got 100 new Factory primed and 100 once fired 44 mag cases for 22 bucks but my wife on the other hand did pretty well for herself. I did buy something out of character though. A really nice Fender Electric guitar and amp...Haven't played music since my teens and early 20s in the local knife and gun clubs back east...Hill William bars for the unedumacated. Already tuned her up. My fangers are a little stiff. Oh powder prices were pretty high 8 lb containers of AA H4350 were over 200 dollars... same in 2200 data with almost decent 175 dollar prices Got a pound of LongShot for 15 bucks. I guess the panic buying isn't done yet

Right around the start of covid I went to a large gun auction that had lots of primers for sale. All the full, unopened bricks sold for store prices, which was around $40-$45 per 1000 at the time. All the partial bricks and older NOS sold for way less. I bought lots of the latter and came home with 7000 primers for less than $50. Most were large and small rife and they have kept me going since.
Since then the best I've found were a couple full boxes of NOS large rifle for $60 at a small gun show, but the auction prices are still crazy high.
