Not exactly a celebration, but remembrance of two events that occurred this day.

#1: The day I was born. Now I'm 79 years ago. Hooray, NOT.:mad:

#2: Then, on my first birthday The second Atomic bomb was dropped by "Bock's Car" on Nagasaki, the final blow that ended WWII. I will bet not many of you ever had such a birthday present!:):):)

Happy Birthday! If we would have had the bomb in 1944, do you think we would have dropped it on Berlin or elsewhere in Germany? If so, I think it would be a very different world today.

Today also is:

The day Jerry Garcia died
My Mother in Law's birthday
Anniversary of the Tate-LaBianca murders by Charles Manson and company
Anniversary of my first marriage

So, kinda a date that will live in infamy for me.

Bock's Car is on exhibit at the National Museum of the US Air Force, at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base outside Dayton, Ohio...

Happy birthday but I have to say that no one should complain about it being their 79th birthday considering the alternative.:D
