A friend sent me these pics of a 44 Magnum that was loaded with a very cheap made ammo.
After fireing the main bullet in the cylinder it also set off the both the bullets on each side of the cylinder as well.

I bet it was the internal lock! : ) Just kidding..... I would have crapped myself if that had happened to me.

Holy Smokes! What was the ammo brand? Reloader Brand? Nightmare! Hope everyone is OK. c good

If I am not mistaken, that picture has been around for several years.

I believe you're 100% correct, as he sent me those pics a little over a year ago.
I remember he quoted nobody got hurt, but never mentioned what brand ammo was used. Just a cheaply made foreign brand.
Still unreal pics of whatever caused three bullets to go off at the same time !

Usually that photo shows up claiming the ammunition was Chinese warning the shooters not to use Chinese ammunition. I believe import of Chinese ammunition has been banned since the Clinton administration.

I have read where someone mas pretty confident that it was handloaded ammo. the type of bullet was the give away. Can't remember what brand, but the bullet matched a common reloaded projectile

Whoever the guy is who really blew up this gun, he probably did it with his shoddy handloads and then blamed it on Chinese ammunition, knowing that would fly well with a conservative gun-loving audience.

What a waste of bandwidth this is! Very old pictures with a changing story just like said above!

Never mind about Clinton banning the importation of Chinese ammo. More importantly, China has never loaded, let alone imported, 44 Mag ammo loaded with Hornady XTP bullets!

This is just one of those Internet gun fables that refuses to die.

I've seen more of that gun in the last couple of years than I have some of my own guns.

Now I'm curious. What type of powder was most likely used and how far over the limit would it take to produce this damage?
